Door County Pumpkin Spice Coffee: I despise the cold of late autumn & winter; however, the frigid temperatures do improve a good cup of coffee. Even better is a steaming mug of pumpkin spice coffee while peacefully reading one of Mr. King’s masterpieces in my study. Thankfully Door County's take on the coffee allows me to do just that. Opening the packet releases a tantalizing aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Once brewed the java is smooth and flavorful. Sipping it evokes thoughts of autumn, pumpkin farms, pumpkin pie, and of course Halloween. The coffee is a winner on its own but pairing it with a number of pumpkin flavored pastry products will really give your taste buds something to howl about this Halloween. If I find myself unable to sleep much during this spooky season it could be from all the scares or it could be from all of the delicious pumpkin spice coffee I’ve consumed (or even scarier, it might be from all the sugar & candy!). Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews *I brew my coffee using 8oz of water to 2 tablespoons of grounds, adding 1 packet of Splenda and 1.5oz of unsweetened...

Great service but drinks & treats left more to be desired. I think their iced chai is a prepackaged drink - very milky and sweet with little spiced flavor. It was ready at pick up within a minute or so, so I definitely think it was prepackaged. I got it with the pumpkin cold foam which was good but very mild and almost just tasted like a sweetened cold foam with mild hint of pumpkin.

Their hot cocoa is decent but nothing special for the price. Frosted “brownie” was thick, super sweet frosting with a base that had very little ‘cake’ to it..like it was literally a bunch of chocolate chips as the base topped with thick frosting. I’m not sure if this was a special type of brownie but it was not good and we tossed it after trying it. The lemon bar was better but tasted partially of plastic and was so cold it was super firm when biting into it - every other lemon bar I’ve tried before has never been this hard upon eating.

We tried this spot because it was in the Travel WI coffee passport, but won’t be returning. If you’re looking for a quality cup of coffee and a solid sweet treat, I...

We waited for quite some time to be seated at their cafe. A young woman asked us if we were there for lunch and seated us at the only open table. About 10 minutes later a waitress, (didn't catch her name, light brown hair with glasses) was very unpleasant toward us and asked us if we were on the waiting list. We said no, we were seated after waiting for about 15 min. As though she didn't believe us, she demanded "who seated you?" I feel bad if we were seated before someone who should have been, but we were the first people waiting in line and did what we were told. We were then effectively ignored for the next 15 min. The waitress passed by us eventually, we asked if she figured it out, she gave us a curt "no" and walked away. We got up and left. Not a big fan of waiting unacknowledged for 20+ min, doing as I'm told, and being treated as though I did something wrong. Try improving communication between your staff and attitudes of...

I love Door County Coffee, but was a little let down. Hear me out. First, I enjoyed seeing the coffee making process and love that they have an observation window! I didn't know this and thought it was so cool. They also have a variety of sweet little treats (like caramel clusters!) that hit the spot. The cafe let me down a little. I asked the barista for the sweetest thing on the menu. It was my first time trying out DC coffee on site. I waited about five minutes for my piping hot coffee and was back on the road. When it cooled - it was NOT one ounce of sweet. It tasted like simple black coffee with a small hint of caramel. This was the first time I did not finish my DC coffee. Hoping for a chance for a better experience, soon!
