Ordered a small pizza with lite sauce, mushrooms, onions, banana peppers, and a single order of wings medium and saucy. Asked for a coffee and a glass of water and a coke. Had to remind the waiter about the water. The pizza and wings arrived. Iâm not sure how the one who made the pizza could not see how burnt it was. The waiter took it back to be remade. Tried a wing, and the skin was basically thawed but not cooked, and the inside was soft and gooey ish. Very underdone. Sent that back. Then a woman came out who proceeded to tell us that she had been making wings all day, the wings are big, no one else complained, and the extra sauce made them soggy. She argued with us, and showed her immaturity, and i professionalism in such a way that all we could think was that her feelings mustâve been hurt because she knows what sheâs doing , and someone questioned it? I dont know. Then we were told the wings would take longer to remake because we wanted them crispy. No one asked for crispy wings. We just wanted them cooked so that they were done, and we wouldnât be spending the night on the toilet. Then the second pizza came out, and it was made incorrectly. At this point we had been there over an hour. Still no wing brought back out. We were told by 2 people 15 minutes apart, that the wings would be another 20 minutes each time. Finally, we said weâd pay for our drinks, and wanted to leave. No manager, unless the wing lady was the manager, came out to talk to us. Pasqualies has gone downhill in a big way. We have had a few other problems with burnt pizzas at the takeout counter , and have spoken to a manager, who said, âWhat do you want me to do?â I have no photos because the food wasnât on the table long enough. Just very disappointed. Restaurants are expensive, and a customer should be treated well, and food should be done correctly. No excuses. And if I hear they are short staffed once moreâŠ..that has nothing to do with the quality of the food or the service. Shame on Pasqualies for hiring incompetent people who...
Read morePasqualeâs in Derby, NY is my wifeâs favorite local restaurant due in part of their great customer service, great food, and great atmosphere. Donât let me kid, I love the food too! Whenever I want to make my wife feel special I take her here. The quality of food here is very fresh. The pasta is al dente (we hate it squishy), the flavors are unique and distinguishable. The bread served is never stale, always warm, always puffy on the inside. Their salads are fresh and delicious. The greens are always crisp and they add on fresh mozzarella to your liking. When at any restaurant, I try to order something I wouldnât make myself or know I wouldnât have the attitude of completing correctly or without style. The menu offers many options that attribute to that decision making process.
They always seat us to our liking (we love booths because of the comfort and privacy). The tables are made of real wood with no veneer to hide itâs beautiful grain waves. The silverware comes clean (no dried water marks) with a cloth napkin. The temperature of the room is always just right, whether it be summer or winter or in between. Sometimes weâll get there and see that the parking lot is full. Some restaurants youâll have to wait and wait, but much to our surprise, weâve never waited. Some might call it luck, I call it space. They must has a lot of space that Iâm not seeing.
The waitresses/waiters are always so kind and smile with the delight of being there for you, and small conversations emerge. These are qualities that make the dining experience exceptional. And after all, we donât want to feel upset during or after eating.
I personally rank this restaurant better than...
Read moreWe had a business lunch here yesterday & I was jaw dropping impressed with our waitress. You know the feeling of going to a restaurant and saying to yourself and your tablemates "she is a really good waitress" well that is what happened yesterday. She always had a smile - gave us huge amounts of attention - delivery of food was spot on...etc. It was impressive and I loved it! There were about 23 of us split into 2 long tables and each table had their own waitress. (The restaurant interior is not that large to accommodate large groups but they did the best they could.) The décor inside is very quaint and attractive (and Italian!). The food was good too and the cannoli was to die for! I had the Italian feast with 3 little samples of entrees- lasagna, chicken parm & fettuccine alfredo. Also had side salad (yummy) and a cup of pasta fagiolie soup (nothing spectacular but OK). The entrees were good and properly cooked for the most part, the lasagna had a little burnt spot on the bottom, but that's OK with me as I love burnt cheesy things! I live over an hour away from this place so I will probably not be going back but if it was closer to me I would for sure be going back just to be pampered by a terrific waitress! My lunch entrée was $12.99 and well worth every penny. The co-workers I was seated around liked their choices too. A girl across from me got the stuffed mushrooms and they looked delicious and were HUGE! She said they were really good. The appetizers people ordered were very ample & some shared them with others. So if you go - keep that in mind & order a few varieties & exchange with others to try...
