We decided on Italian foods for dinner and although there are several choices in the Monticello area we all chose Momma Mia resturant, If you or any member of your dinner party is really hungry then Momma Mia resturant is the place to go to end the hunger!!! The dinner plates are ENORMOUS and unless you or that specific party member is a black bear chances are none of you will be finishing your entire dinner plate as the plates are loaded with food.
The prices range from the mid teens to the lower 30's which is comparable to most every other resturant prices so if your on a budget and you want value for your money spent then by all means this is where you need to go as once you are completed with your meal chances are you will be bringing leftovers home which will most likely translate into another meal so essentially your getting 2 meals for the price of one!!
All meals are served with a fresh garden salad and the main meal arrives with your choice of a side dish of pasta or fries or veggies and the table will also have a nice large bread basket with butter as well,
The atmosphere is very pleasant and the wait staff are all extremely willing to offer themselves to any needs you or your party may need.
The resturant has large tables to accomodate big parties and theres plenty of room with no wait as you will be seated shortly after arrival,
If your looking for a great Italian dinner that gives great value for the price then you need to come to...
Read moreWe are visiting family in upstate New York from Texas. Our family here recommended this place, so we ordered for pickup. We ordered a caprese salad, a pasta trio, chicken Parmigiana, Sicilian pizza, and an eggplant rotini.
I went to the front hostess stand to get my order and I waited about five minutes. No big deal. I got my order and walked out to the car. For the price we paid ($100+), the order seemed small. I realized they forgot my Sicilian pizza. I went back inside and went back to the front hostess. A couple walked in behind me. I told the front hostess that the Sicilian Pizza was left out and she told me, "Hold on. Let me get to them." She pointed to the people behind me (who came after me) and got their to go order. After the couple behind me got their order, she said she would check on my pizza. She sent another waitress to check on it. She said it was almost done. So that means either they knew it was not a part of my order or they hadn't made it yet. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they didn't make it yet because it took ten minutes to make it.
They finally got me my order and I took it back to my family. We are the food and it was all good. Everything we ate was delicious.
I'm torn on this place. There were four servers and four tables. The place wasn't slammed with orders. Service was not good at all....
Read moreThe food is delicious, assuming you have the two hours to wait for it and your stomach isn’t in a knot by the time it arrives. So far, every experience has been the same as our last time dining there. We were seated quickly, but actually had to get up and ask for someone to bring us water. We were told we’d have to wait until glasses were clean and that they would not give us water in the clean glasses we saw at the bar.
After 30 minutes or so, water finally came with the bread. Again we had to get up to ask for a waitress to take our order. Our orders were taken after another 15 minutes or so, and then the hour long wait for the food began.
The waitress was so rude, snapping at one of us when her soup came out after the main course and she said she no longer wanted it. I couldn’t eat by the time the food came because of the hour—we arrived at 7:20 and the food came after 9:00, but Mary, the owner, still wanted to charge for my shared plate. She said not eating “was no excuse.” And, rather than apologizing for a horrible dining experience, she was so nasty, blaming the waitresses’ youth and saying I know nothing about restaurants.
We’ve tried so many times to eat there, but that was the last time. They’re...
