I’m of hispanic Puertorican descent and I know what good food tastes like. I was born into delicious flavors and my palate and my husband’s palate crave good authentic Mexican food, and I’ve tasted good authentic Mexican food in NYC. This was not it. The food is too bland for our taste, not enough food, and they don’t have variety. If you are going to put something on the menu with pork, then under that food that’s on the menu, you also have to put 2-3 more options: eg: chicken, beef, or shrimp. Not everyone is fond of pork. The food took more than 25 minutes to be served, and the whole hour we were sitting there, we kept looking at two dirty tables that had yet to be cleaned. Also, the environment and ambiance feels cold. They give you 3 sauces and the only one that has some flavor was the yellow thick bean one; the other two were like dipping in water. Whoever is saying that the food is delicious, doesn’t have any tastebuds and has never tasted truly delicious/delectable food, you have a bland palate, and you don’t know what good food is. I only test a restaurant once. If the food is gross, they won’t see us there again....

The moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The staff greeted us right away and were super friendly and attentive throughout our meal. You could tell they genuinely cared about making sure we had a good experience.
I ordered the quesadilla, and it was absolutely delicious. The tortilla was fresh, soft, and had an obvious homemade taste. We even got to meet the owner, who told us she makes the tortillas fresh herself—which totally explains the incredible flavor. The salsas were another highlight; they had a variety, each packed with bold, fresh flavors that complemented the food perfectly.
Casa completely changed our minds, and we’re so glad we didn’t let that one negative review stop us. The food was fantastic, the service was great, and meeting the owner added such a personal touch. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending Casa to friends. Easily a...
