Convenient Deli Mart — Restaurant in Town of Fishkill

This place has gone down hill and fast. Poor customer service poor food and the prices fluctuate. Continue to go here if you want folks but I miss the old ppl that used to work there that had been working there for years. Live in the neighborhood work in the neighborhood took care of the people from all over and they kept you coming back. No specials treatment just old fashioned customer service. Idk maybe the moe and Joe team don't come anymore so things have shifted maybe its all about the money now . Either way or another that you look at it this place which used to be a staple has taken you out of the equation and only wants your chedda. I feel rotten about the review I really do because ten years ago I could go on for 5 times as long as this at how many good things they were doing down there. I understand the business more than most and unfortunately they are now jumping over dollars to make cents in most areas. I won't go back there until I see some change that's for sure. Maybe a gallon of milk here and there but i may even just go to Stewart's for that as well. It's really such a shame . I can't stress enough how the loss of a few older women and less frequent visits by the owner have changed...

Rating this deli a 1 is too high. What a shame. It was always a great deli, low turnover with employees. Everyone knew everyone. I hadn't been in there for a while.. Today, asked for a very basic sandwich- asked for roasted peppers. Not only do they apparently not have them, the girl at the counter had no idea what they were... Of course they got the very simple sandwich wrong, I was polite, the girl got annoyed with me, a guy re-made the sandwich. Awful. From the roll to the 2 other items on the sandwich. The air conditioner vent was dripping water from the ceiling, right as you walk in the front entrance. EVERYTHING looks disgusting and dirty. In the 10 minutes I was in there, 2 employees had a sandwich made - for themselves- as they were "working" and ate behind the counter. No gloves. No hand washing. One girl was in front of the deli meat area, coughed into her hand, as she was making a customer a sandwich. NONE of the above would have been tolerated with the previous owner and employees. Sad.…. I will never go in there again-...

This is not the same convenient deli that I grew up knowing! Ever since the new ownership of this deli took over, it has not been the same , only going down hill. I called for an order of egg sandwiches and a buttered roll 15-20 minutes before I showed up only to be looked at like I had five heads and they never took my order down. Once the egg sandwiches were ready, I asked if the buttered roll was ready. The girl continued to give me an attitude and said that “you never said anything about a buttered roll on the phone” meanwhile they didn’t even take any of my order down or apologize! The girl also completely ignored me and gave me a dirty look when I asked her if they had decaf coffee, but another worker was nice enough to give me the time of the day in a polite manner when I asked a simple question. I also found the egg sandwiches to be very skimpy, almost the same quality as a gas station egg sandwich! Save your time and go to a better deli that actually respects...
