I just would like to say that as someone who has spent years in the food service industry, one of the worst decisions you could make as an owner is to respond to every negative review with reasons why the customer is wrong and should be satisfied with a negative experience. Since you would like to dive into those details instead of apologizing and moving on like a professional I would like to point out that because vegan cream cheese is tofu based instead of dairy based it has a much longer shelf life. There were two phone calls that took place. One where I was told that you were out of stock with the cream cheese, I mentioned that I had a sausage egg and cheese with vegan cheese the last time this happened and would be happy with that replacement again. I’m not sure where that becomes a guessing game for you. When you mentioned your hundreds of orders earlier in your response is meant to say that I can expect inferior service due to your overwhelming volume? And I’m sorry but yes DoorDash listed the oder as being prepared for over an hour (take out maybe 25 minutes of the 2 hours for delivery) I don’t spend my time bashing small businesses for fun, I doubt any of the people who have left negative reviews do. People who leave negative reviews are sharing their experiences with you in hopes that you improve. I rarely leave a review unless there’s something that really sticks out. I also have never logged in again to leave a second review due to a rude owner. Consider this a second review for the multiple chances I have given your restaurant.
If you want to stop getting negative reviews listen to your customers, don’t make excuses as to why you can’t properly stock your menu, don’t tell customers that they are the reason why you made an order incorrectly and behave like a professional. I did reach out after receiving the order, just like you said I should have. There was no solution offered. If you’d like to discuss any of this I would be thrilled to have a conversation with you. I can confidently tell you that as long as you respond to customers this way you’ll never be in the...
Read moreUPDATE: Gave Green Bowl another try after a year and sadly not much has changed. Last year they gave you 1/2 full acai bowls. Now they give you 1/4 full acai bowls. (See picture) Next year, you’ll get an acai bowl with no acai, and you’ll be charged more. They should be ashamed doing this to customers 😂
INITIAL REVIEW 1 YEAR AGO: My family has been loyal customers for some time, but they’ve disappointed us recently.
First instance - We found a piece of plastic in our smoothie, and the cashier was very rude. We let that slide, as one cashier doesn’t reflect the business.
Second instance - Because of "shrinkflation," portions have shrunk but prices have increased. Unfortunately, their acai bowls are 1/2 filled these days. You have to request that the bowls are packed properly to get what you paid for.
Third instance - We spent $175 on an order today, and didn’t receive one of the meals. When we called them, they said they forgot to add it to the tab. We were told to come back (we told them we live 30 minutes away). They were going to charge us for the meal they forgot, despite the long drive back, the amount of business we give them, and the very generous cash tip we left.
If you do not treat your customers properly, and cannot make a fair exchange given what they paid for…it’s...
Read moreThe Green Bowl blew me out of the water with their food and attention to detail! I had a bit over a week to food for an office party for 30 people. Due to the office COVID policy all 30 meals had to be individually packaged. I reached out to The Green Bowl on a coworker’s suggestion. He said that not only was the food delicious, but it was also gluten free, with vegetarian and vegan options-perfect for feeding a crowd with a variety of dietary requirements. The owner got back to me very quickly and was extremely generous with the menu options they could provide on our budget. Yami promised that she could do individual packaging and she totally delivered! I expected having to sort out 30 clamshell boxes. Instead, we received 30 individual bags each labeled with the content and stuffed with a menu. The best part? All the packaging is recyclable/biodegradable! Now for the food: For most people this was their first time having an arepa. We ordered pork, chicken or vegetarian arepas and rice bowls. Everyone that had an arepa said they were crispy, juicy, and packed with filling. The rice bowls were a very generous portion and every component had great flavor. The sauces (creamy avocado, chipotle mayo and mojito) were all delicious. I can’t wait until I’m down in Wappinger Falls to...
