My friends and I were recommended Helioterra by a couple we met in Door County this weekend. One of the members of our group loves Oregon wine so we decided to check it out and were thrilled with our experience. A tasting of 4 wines cost $10 and were custom picked the bartender, based on individual preferences. Personally I only drink sweet wines, so I decided to forgo the tasting and just purchase a glass of their incredible dessert wine. I know they're new to the area but I wouldn't be surprised to see them in a bigger space at some point! We stopped in without a reservation and were met by Ann, the owner and winemaker. Our experience was very enjoyable. The wines were all excellent…from their entry level Pinot Noir to the cool-region Syrah. If you love Oregon wine and looking for something unique on the Door Peninsula a stop at Helioterra is a must!

After we tasted through the wine offering, we decided to get a pizza from Wild Tomato (just down the road) and bring it back to Helioterra to pair with good wine. They were more than accommodating for us.
