Tacos Diablo (Guilderland) — Restaurant in Town of Guilderland

If you were to believe what some have written in various posts on the r/Albany subreddit... you would not want to go here.

So, let me be the one to say... don't believe the trolls. This place serves up delicious food that kept me coming back for more in a variety of ways. First off - Chipotle or Moe's are fine in a pinch, but if I'm looking for that kind of meal, I'd rather hit up a local place to get that kind of meal. Truly, this place delivers on that simple promise of "Hey, we do the thing you can get at the big chains, only we do it MUCH BETTER."

Second - They blow the big chains out of the water just off of how many ways they offer to customize your order. Small burrito with minimal filling and mild salsa? Done. Or packed with 8 different fillings and spicy salsa to knock your socks off? Also, done. Either/or, they've got you covered.

Also, this may just be a side effect of how often I order from them, but I love how I just walk in and they remember my name... I don't even have to tell them who I am when I'm picking up. (OK, fine, that one is oddly specific to me generally.) But even having said that. Friendly people. Delicious food, made the way you want it. What more could...

Super cute spot in a very convent location! Great place to stop in for a quick lunch. You can quickly tell how fresh the ingredients are. A great selection and variety, the street corn is delicious-they even offered to cut it in half so my husband and I could share it. He got the street tacos which were generously filled with meat and toppings. I got a chicken quesadilla, and as a condiment girl I appreciated all the salsas and sauce that automatically come with it. I had asked for a chicken quesadillas and ended up receiving one with beef. The staff member was super apologetic, and immediately went to have a new one made for us. We’re very easy going and know mistakes happen so not a big deal-as we’re waiting for the new one, a free bag of chips and guac was brought to us. They asked my husband if he ate beef (he does, I don’t) and let him keep the original one and gave me the one with chicken. Such great customer service there, with really fresh and delicious food. This is a wonderful, new, fresh and popular Mexican restaurant that offers tacos, burritos, bowls & more. I came here with my girlfriend because we had heard that it was good from local news. We ordered tacos, beans & street corn all 3 meals were absolutely delicious. You can tell they are using only fresh made ingredients. Very big difference in quality compared to places like chipotle. The inside/outside eating area is awesome and this restaurant did a great job with the atmosphere in this small space. I witnessed the owner delegating tasks and assisting with cleaning & training new team members. Wow nice job team this place is just what Guilderland needed . There’s no doubt in my mind this restaurant will succeed as they were fairly busy during our visit. Bathrooms & dining room was clean. Restaurant is very clean.
