Sneakers bar — Restaurant in Town of Hamburg

Heard good things about the food and prices. The patrons I viewed during my multiple attempts to eat there seemed very satisfied. That said, getting anyone to tell you how to get seated or even acknowledged respectfully not good. In four attempts, acknowledged one time with "You can't sit there; you're not on the list." Had called earlier and asked to get reservation; was told that they don't take reservations. Suggested to get there by 4:30 or after 8:00 on Fridays. Got there at 4:20 that day. Attempted several times to get attention of waitresses and bar staff to no avail. Took table when one opened and that was when we were told we couldn't. Great for regulars; not so much for others. UPDATE: Finally had the opportunity to get takeout fish fry from Sneakers. Given the strength of the patronage I have witnessed, I eagerly anticipated the opportunity. I am sad to report that my experience ultimately included a surly waitress, inconsequential portions and unenjoyable food and above average prices. This is your staple whole in the wall, neighborhood bar that serves great food and has really friendly staff. We have enjoyed coming here for the last 4 or 5 years, originally just for Friday fish fry’s, but we’ve expanded it to whenever we are in the area and want a hot meal.
