Lengthy because itās a thorough review. So many things went into the rating. ITEMS: So this place has SOOO many crystals, minerals and gems the selection is overwhelming itās great, there are also books games kits & a cool museumā¼ļøā¼ļø You really canāt match the level of variety this store has. LAYOUT: The store is very small which makes it a good and a bad thing. Itās kind of like going on a treasure hunt BUT it is BEYOND HOT IN THERE. I literally felt like I was going to pass out. Thereās no ventilation or fans to cool you at all & I went at like 6:30pm & it was a sauna. PRICE: šš½ prices are CRAZYā¼ļø Yes, some things were so reasonable but majority of their stuff is just insane. You can buy a moonstone or opalite (random item, not actually real price) for like 5-10$ but if you buy a ring that is nothing more than sterling silver w/moonstone you are going to pay well over 50$ We are talking more like 70-160 (average) A small crystal tower is going to run you 20$ or more. I just canāt make sense of the price point. AGAIN, they do have ALMOST ANYTHING you could want & I believe each piece is genuine, affording it is another story. ODDS & END ITEMS: there are fun things like games & the museum is really cool the experience there is great. I would say they need to update their toys & games because a lot were outdated, cheesy & to expensive but this place is a hidden treasure that offers soooo much. ALMOST ALL of their stones & crystals are polished standard round which is disappointing because I like more natural shapes & textures. There is not many options for that. Just a lot of polished finishes. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The older woman at the counter did help me & answered my questions to the best of her knowledge & looked up what she didnāt know. She seemed to not mind me but I could sense her energy & read her body language & she was annoyed at my children. She didnāt say anything but I apologized often for them simply being kids & she had an āeughhhā kind of attitude. Half the place is marketed for children but she didnāt seem to like their presence. They didnāt damage anything despite how narrow & small the space it. I purchased everything I was looking for & sadly it came out to the amount of my truck payment š© I went to Paranormal Oddities yesterday & while the selection was much more limited & the store was half the size the owener was sooo friendly, inviting & let my kids walk out with a couple of things for free. His energy & the stores vibe was great. Iāll probably return back to both places however I will choose his shop over returning to this one unless Iām looking for a rarer piece. The picture below is 500$ worth of stuff. Minus the ring & necklace my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAmazing collection but extremely overpriced. I've been to many crystal/mineral dealers and the more commonly found items were ridiculous . We were exploring some of the stores in the area and one had some of the same items, same quality for 25%/50% less. However , Past and Present also had rare specimens that are hard to find, also expensive but at least somewhat understandable considering their rarity. I am giving 2 stars because as a fellow crystal/mineral enthusiast I believe that when you have a passion for something enough to have a store, you don't price your items so high that they can't be shared with others who share your passion or are just getting started. Also, the woman was rather rude at the desk, made us feel like she didn't want us there, granted it was later in the evening as well. My advice is if you want a specific item that's hard to find on the market, save up becsuse it's probably here, but expensive. For all other common minerals/crystals, you will definetly find it cheaper elsewhere. If you are just looking, they do have some beautiful specimens and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe store has been a part of my life since I was little and I can proudly say I grew up with it as a memory attributed to my Apo (grandmother). She would take me when I was little because I was fascinated with rocks and crystals. We collected sea glass on the lake shore at her beach house. That house is still my safe place and always will be. Now that I'm getting into spirituality and crystals more and more and my fascination is rekindling stronger than ever I find it incredibly important that the store still stands today. A testament to my young self and my future perhaps working at the store. I'm considering looking employment options there. To all who enter and exit the past and present store memories and wonders are sure to be weaved into the loom...
