China Moon — Restaurant in Town of Hamlin

I've eaten from probably 500 Chinese take-outs & 100 of them on several occasions (4 or 5 or more times each).. The #1 things that separates a good takeout restaurant from a bad one is food quality consistency over time. China Moon is one of the only take-outs that have consistently (for the most part) made good food while most of the others have been 50/50 at best. After ordering from here about 10 times, only once was it slightly sub-par. 5 stars for this place.. They actually take pride in what they do. The chances you get really good food from here is a 9 in 10 ratio, unlike ALL the other takeouts in the neighboring villages where some will NEVER have good food no matter how many times you visit (Hilton) & others will only be good 4 to 6 times out of every 10 visits (Spencerport, North Chili, Most of the...

Update, gave them another shot...huge mistake threw $50. Worth of food away. Disgusting and inedible. Place sucks!!! First of all the food has been replaced recently to a very low quality food. Secondly I went to pick up my order and the said we called a different place and never placed the order. When I got home I hit redial and guess who answered...we went to kitchen express in Brockport which was way better. And to top it off they as usual had an 8 and 12 year old running the front of house which is illegal. Which the youngest one could keep her finger out of her nose, sniffling and sneezing all over....

Wife and I recently moved to the area. We are big fans of Chinese food and had been ordering from a place in Holley for several years. Let me just say - O...M...G!! What an improvement. So glad we tried it. She got General Tso chicken and I had the Hunan beef. They were both delicious. So flavorful. And my Hunan Beef had the perfect amount of spiciness; you could tell it actually had chilis in it and not just hot oil like most places. Great portions as well for reasonable prices.
