Hamlin Pizza Shack — Restaurant in Town of Hamlin

First let me say, I rate this 2 stars because the guys were friendly and personable. That's about it. I walked in and was dismayed at the grungy and unkempt sought. When dealing with food, that's NOT what you want to see. Ordered 2 pizzas, one large, one medium. When they came out of the oven, the large was being sliced...... in SQUARES!!!! WHAT!!!???? A round pizza 🍕 🥧, pizza pie, cut into squares, what universe am I in? Can you fit a square into a round hole, or a round object into a square, I suppose if the round is smaller than the size of the square......but I digress. I politely stopped the young man and asked that he but the remaining half into actual slices. He obliged. Upon bringing them home I was a little happy to have a nice crunch to the crust and a slight chew also, what a pizza dough should be... but there was no flavor to it. We've had pizza at Hamlin Pizza Shack several times in the past with good results. Their pizza was always good, and their crust was more like a pastry crust. Different from most pizza crusts, and we liked that. It had been a couple of years since we'd been there so we stopped in on a recent Saturday night for pizza around 6:30 pm. Business was a bit slow, and we were the ONLY customers in the dining room. Even with that, it took around 20 minutes to get our pizza. On the whole, the pizza was disappointing, and definitely not as good as we've had in the past. Even the crust wasn't as good as we've had before. We had the leftover pizza the next day and nothing memorable about that. An 8-slice pizza w/2 toppings and two beverages cost roughly $19. I wouldn't say this is the worst pizza we've ever had, but definitely not the best. We can get much better pizza for the same price. Probably the last time...

This place so slept on and honestly I love that because that means there's always stuff available hahaha. BUTTTTT!!!!! I need to say my husband and I have been taking a stroll through their menu since living in Hamlin and I've got to say the Cowboy burger is by far the best thing I've had hands down!?! And I even stopped half way through the burger (for digestion lmao) for the fact I needed to make a review right now! This burger is huge!! And so filling and delicious! WOW! 😍 Go try it if...
