If you have never stopped in at Aunt Millie's your life is not complete. This hidden pearl sits, unassumingly, along the main stretch of road in little ole Silver Creek. No much to catch your eye from the outside save for an eye-raisingly large parking lot. Stop by during lunch or dinner time and you'll see why. The inside is comfortable and cozy with warm earthy and wooden color pallets characterizing the layout. There is inside seating, sun room seating, and seasonal outside seating. The interior offers quite a few sitting options for groups of most sizes and has that beautifully complicated upscale yet laid-back diner/cafe feel (if that's a thing).
Aunt Millie's offers a pretty decent selection of lunch dinner and breakfast options at extremely fair prices. As someone who despises small portions and hates not feeling stuffed after a meal, Aunt Millie's holds a special place in my heart. Come prepared to eat. Portion sizes are an eaters dream. Everything I've ordered and have seen others order is fit for a giant. Bring your appetite or be prepared to bring a box of leftovers home. Portion sizes are one thing, but taste is another. Aunt Millie's does both exceptionally well. Fear not, taste snobs and belly fillers alike.
The staff are extremely friendly and certainly excited to be working their. You can tell they love their jobs and love the food they serve up just as much. It's not hard to understand why. No complaints here.
Now the desserts. Oh my. The desserts. No exception to the portion rule found in all their meals these desserts taste as drooling as they are stunningly beautiful. Pies of all kinds, coconuts, lemons, peanut butters, assorted cakes, pastries, double stuffed chocolate things, triple stuffed and stacked cream puff concoctions, and the list goes on. Either order after your meal (if you have room left) or head up to the counter and pick what looks best from their glass displays and pay for the meal and dessert to go all at once (accepts cash and card).
Aunt Millie's should always be on your list of places to visit and revisit and visit again. My only regret is not...
Read moreThis place came highly recommended by friends, family, and people in the area, so I knew I had to bring my family of 12 to see what all the hype was about and let me tell you, it absolutely lived up to every expectation!
Let’s talk about quality because from start to finish, everything we experienced here was top tier. The food was phenomenal, and the bakery was on an entirely different level. Every single dish that came to our table was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Between our group, we ordered a wide variety from a simple two-egg breakfast to hearty omelets, fluffy pancakes, and perfectly portioned kid’s meals. A few standouts included the apple-filled French toast (a must-try!), the ham omelet, and the light, buttery pancakes that disappeared in minutes.
Of course, we couldn’t leave without visiting the bakery counter. We wrapped up our meal with an array of desserts that were as beautiful as they were delicious a strawberry-filled Neapolitan, a classic Neapolitan, and a rich chocolate cupcake that was pure heaven in every bite.
What truly elevated our experience, though, was the service. Joelle, our server, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was attentive, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, especially with such a large group. Every detail was handled with care, and we never once felt rushed or overlooked.
We left feeling full, happy, and genuinely appreciated as customers. This is the kind of place you visit once and immediately add to your list of favorites. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or just to treat yourself to something sweet from the bakery, this spot is a gem worth visiting...
Read moreDon’t bring your kids here. Our server was absolutely fantastic, the food was ok. Typical diner fare. My little one is starting solids and needed to eat. We were told that this was a family establishment so we went there. He obviously, made a mess, and we asked our server if we could clean up after him. Specifically, my uncle who has been in food service forever asked our server if he could get a vacuum to vacuum it up. My husband who is also currently in food service did the same. Our server was super nice and politely declined our help stating it wasn’t a big deal. As we were about to leave the “manager” came over and said “come on, you know, we just paid $500 dollars to clean this rug. If a kid came to your house and made a mess like this what would you do?” My husband then stated to get a broom and a dustpan multiple times so he could clean it. He never did. My uncle asked for the manager in which this man said he was. My uncle then stated “you should know better if you’re in the service industry. I’d clean it if a kid came to my house and made a mess.” Here’s the thing, we offered multiple times to help clean up this little guys mess. Those types of comments are not ok. My whole family knows people everywhere and you just lost a whole bunch of potential and already established customers. If you don’t allow children then please make it known before they come into your restaurant. Obviously this place is not kid friendly. To answer that grumpy manager, if any kid came into my house and left happy and fed, that’s all I can ask for. Messes...
