I visited the Dunkin’ Donuts in Cooperstown and was extremely disappointed with my experience. As a former team leader at a Dunkin’ location in Lancaster, CA, I know how critical it is to maintain efficiency, quality, and good customer service. Unfortunately, this location is falling short in all areas.
I first stopped by on Thursday, and the store wasn’t even open during regular hours—no sign, no explanation. When I returned the next day, I waited over 30 minutes just to place a simple order, and another 15 minutes at the drive-thru window.
One of the employees placed my drink on the drive-thru pad and walked away without a word. I had to wait another 15 minutes just to flag someone down to hand it to me—by then, it had been sitting out the entire time.
I’m also genuinely concerned about the quality checks that are supposed to happen throughout the day. With staffing clearly that low, I can almost guarantee they’re not being done. It’s not just an inconvenience—it’s a food safety issue.
I know firsthand what Dunkin’ service should look like, and this isn’t it. Management needs to address the staffing and training issues before customers stop coming...
Read moreDo not try to go inside and get service. I have been to the drive-through and it’s been fine. But every time I’ve gone inside it takes forever. Today, I was the ONLY customer in an empty store, one person was busy at at the drive-through (with the one car there) She turned and looked at me and turned back around without acknowledgment. ..the girl fiddling with the waffle machine completely ignored me …the guy walking by on what sounded like a personal call on his cell phone behind the register, glanced at me,bcompletely ignored me and continued with his conversation walking away from me, and another girl came out of nowhere and asked if I was there to pick up doughnuts she was holding, but I was not that person. I said I would just like a coffee, please and she didn’t acknowledge I had said anything but no I am not and she turned and walked away from me. Wow. I’m happy Dunkin’ Donuts came to our area. I want them to survive! But this branch better get their act together before the summertime baseball crowds hit. All they have to say “Hello, welcome to Dunkin’ Donuts. We will be with you in a minute.” …but nobody said anything, this customer was...
Read more1 star is generous. My coworker and I waited in-person, in line for over TEN minutes. We were the only ones there! The workers NEVER acknowledged us, or told us they would be right with us. Completely ignored us. Two other parties came, stood in line behind us, got fed up and left, in the time we were still standing there. Finally we had to ask "Is somebody going to help us? It's been 12 minutes!" Their reply was "Sorry. We have to get these call ahead and app orders ready." Seriously? 15 minutes of my day wasted and I didn't even get my coffee! Fast forward to today, I learned my lesson to know they only care about app orders, so I ordered ahead and my coworker was going to pick up for us. Well, I ordered two egg bites, avocado toast and a drink. My coworker arrives with just avocado toast and a drink and told me "They said they ran out of egg bites yesterday." Ummm, ok- but I was charged $10 for egg bites I didn't get? Needless to say, I'm not a happy camper and WON'T be giving them any...
