Unicorn Asian Sushi Hibachi & Bar — Restaurant in Town of Haverstraw

Food is good but I’ll never dine in again due to our server.

3 of my friends and I went in on a Sunday around noon for lunch. I guess they literally just opened as the floors were still slippery and smelled like straight bleach. Didn’t mind soo much as i just expected there a clean place...

We ordered a round of waters with lemons to start with as we can skim the menu for our food selections. Our server was RACHEL (if that was her real name or not) we started to say excuse me as we were ready to order and it took her 10-15 minutes to get the water. She came back with such an attitude like “I didn’t forget you were here, no need to do that etc” shrugged it off & ordered anyway. Food was amazing, came out decently quickly.

Rachel comes around again with mayo sauce, we thank her. But when we asked for extra napkins, she asked “why didn’t we ask her when she was here before” again, shrugged it off...

now we’re all finishing up, she has her hand on my plate & tells me to take the rest of sushi so she can take the dirty plate BUT I WASNT FINISHED WITH MY FOOD & THERE WERE OTHER EMPTY PLATES FOR HER TO TAKE so I ask for a to go plate. She asks me small or large & I said small as I didn’t have a lot of food on my plate. Turns out the small was way to little & I needed the large & she got frustrated & said “why didn’t I ask for the large when I have a large plate” I tried explaining to her why but then she went to touch my FOOD (not the plate) to put it in the box

Actually loved the food & I live 5 minutes from here but will never be back again...

I just went there yesterday to try. We had gyoza, seafood soup, special rolls and they were pretty good! It was a few things that went pretty bad. So we were pretty happy so we ordered dessert. They even had coffee which so rear to have in Asian restaurant. We were so excited! Then coffee was pretty bad and it was lukewarm. Then cheese cake and tiramisu was completely frozen right out of the freezer! I can tell they were good cakes but too bad that they were served wrong. Also different people kept coming to our table and one waiter came to recommend dessert when we haven't gotten food yet, the person who looked like manager came to our table after we struggle to eat frozen cake. We told her the problem with the cake being frozen, and she looked like she didn't get what the problem was and said, "if you have any problem, let us know." Well, we just told her! And we thougt she came to our table to take care of our check but she just left! We had 3 people coming to our table but we had to wait a while to pay while the restaurant wasn't busy. The food was good. It's just that service was so odd. We should try again before we determin not...

A rating of 1 is way too much, for this place food.

I ordered Hibashi shrimp and filet mignon, it arrived all Luke warm. Anyone with right mind halfway to the meal it was completely cold and tasteless. The fried rice was not fried or had any taste, the shrimp were not warm or fried, the vegetables undercooked and spaghetti was like sugar.

I am a Hibashi person and this was not HibashI. I eat Hibashi piping hot of the grill. Mayo for mustard sauce, the ginger sauce was water down.

Horrible food. But people of no knowledge on how food should taste their review suffice.

Now the place is ok, but not a real Hibashi place where the food comes from the skillet in front of your face piping hot.
