Blimpie — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I must say, I was very disappointed and more than likely won't return. My husband and I stopped for lunch. We got a regular ham/cheese combo and a regular turkey/cheese combo. They were running a special for these two particular sandwiches. The lunch specials were posted on a board near the door in the corner. I did not see the board. The sandwich alone was $4, the combo was $8. The young lady charged me: $23.42. When we sat down to have lunch, that's when I saw the board outlining the specials. I asked the ladies behind the counter, my husband and I got the specials, why was I charged $23 and not $16??? One of the ladies, stated that we needed to mention the special first in order to get the special. I never heard of this!! I have been a consistent customer of your East Meadow Blimpie for close to 8 years and there’s a reason why. When I was younger my friends and I would ride bikes through the neighborhood just to kill time and after we got hungry so we came to Blimpie and it was amazing. Fast-forward 8 years and we still come here and surprisingly enough it’s not just for the food. The food is great but it’s the workers who are the true MVP. You just don’t come to Blimpie for food, you come for the experience. You can tell that each worker thrives to make your experience at Blimpie memorable. Used to be good NOW AVOID ORDED BLIMPIE BEST ALL BREAD . 1 SLICE OF HAM AND 1 SLICE PEPPERONI. HAD TO GO ELSEWHERE AND SPEND MORE MONEY. SKIP AND GO TO JERSEY MIKE'S.
