Boardwalk Bagel & Delicatessen — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

i used to eat at Beach Bagel for years. then i moved to California. came back and what a disappointment. my friend who lives in East Atlantic suggested Boardwalk Bagel because of what happened at Beach Bagel demise after it had changed owners.

moment i walked in it was beautiful. clean, well lit. then i was greeted by this awesome lady knowing about not getting good food out of state, even in Rhode Island. well, she was courteous, professional and offered suggestions to get me out of my SoCal indecision on what to order. helped my kids in selecting EXACTLY what they wanted. then we ate.... OMG. miss the bagels... hot, well balanced, every bite had an equal amount of yumminess.

Nothing but amazing experiences with this Bagel place/Delicatessen!!! Ordered food from here for a fitness event at my daughter’s school - fed super health conscious people and volunteers - the spread was super impressive! Had these guys cater a baby shower at a dance school where most guests were health conscious... Again, WHAT A SPREAD!!!! Amazing wraps and sandwich platters! Your typical side salads but a quinoa salad that everyone was surprised to see and even more surprised at how tasty it was! The variety was awesome and the customer service even better! No drama no stress and they stayed open later than usual to make our food and deliver it!!! My friends, family, and I have been coming here for years. The food is awesome and the service has always been great.

Today we were planning on putting in a large order for a family gathering. While listening to the phone call between my girlfriend and one of the male employees… I was in complete shock. I couldn’t believe how rude the employee was.

She asked if they sold mini bagels. The response: “just tell me what you want lady”. That was just one of multiple rude comments. I could not believe what I was hearing. We hung up the phone in disbelief of the way we were being talked to.

I rarely ever take the time to put in a google review. It was clearly needed…

Hopefully the deli can fix this issue. It truly is the best bagel spot on the south shore....
