Carvel — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

My mom attempted to use her Carvel gift card today around 12pm but the staff (girl) told my mom that she cannot use the GC to shop today without a reason. This is ridiculous and I’m not recommending dis Carvel (Carman Ave).

Thanks for your response, owner. But I have to mention some points here. First, your day shift staff didn’t mention the GC machine was not working to my mom. She only told my mom they do not take gift card today with no reasons. Second, it was interesting that your evening staff seems like does not know that the GC machine was down too cos I just called in 30 minutes ago and told her the GC issues happened in the afternoon. She responded she was not there in the afternoon, so she does not know what’s happening and she can’t do anything. After a minute, she called back and said the manager told her the GC machine was down. I’m wondering why the staff did not know their GC machine was not working until now🧐very...

I guess I have to give 1 star at least to write this review. Awful place and terrible customer service. You would think if you go there often in the summer they would at least be nice to you. Apparently I ordered my ice cream for my kids and he told me that the guy that hasn’t walked thru the door is next even though he hadn’t open the door yet or was even in the same building and told me he couldn’t take my order. So I told him thanks I’m not ordering anymore. Really rude to adults and kids. Looking through the reviews everyone says the same thing. So why do we continue to buy from this awful carvel place. Today was my last day. Going to Ralph’s from now on. I will not support a business that shows no respect to there customers especially if you live in this community we should be nice...

If I could give 0 stars I would, owners of this carvel are beyond rude, don’t wanna work, always has attitude and a mad face. The one specific guy is the worst. Don’t ever go here. They’re so cheap, only carvel I’ve been to that weighs the ice cream LOL. Ordered a large cup of ice cream and it was half full. I go to ANY OTHER carvel and they fill my cup. Yes even the ones you mentioned as you gave yourself a 5 star review. Stay away from this carvel, save the trip. Go else where. Also went on a Wednesday and it’s buy one get one, got charged full price for both. Never going back....
