Pearl Inn — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Again I gave this place a try. It’s my local Chinese food place. $18 for pork lomein and a shrimp roll. I asked for extra pork $2 extra. No problem. I could hardly find any pork, there was not even one baby shrimp in the shrimp roll, just cabbage. NO EXAGGERATION!! I was running fever , flu shot, basically went in with my sweats on, walking with a cane from a back surgery, so I waited in my car, with all the people in there not one of them could accommodate bringing it to my car, she just kept waving to come and get it. A few stood at the counter looking at me in my car, right outside their door.No class. The customer is not considered here just their pocket . Best place I know is Orient Odyssey in Jericho next to the Millerage. Incredible food , absolutely great service!! Extremely accommodating. Fortune Wheel in Levittown, great food!!! Just ordered take out and the 2 spring rolls I ordered were missing. I called up to let them know and instead of being professional and handling their error they repeatedly argued that they put the spring rolls in the box. I had to drive all the way back and bring the food in order to prove that they didn’t give me them. Also they didn’t have 2 more spring rolls ready to give me upon arrival when I came back because they were that convinced that they weren’t wrong so I had to sit and wait for more time while my other food got cold to make me more spring rolls. They didn’t offer a refund or extra of anything even tho they were wrong AND argued with the customer until they realized they were. That is horrible customer service. The spring rolls cost a dollar and some change who would lie about that? I will not be...

I just spent a decent amount on a large take out Chinese food order from this location. The food was so terrible that everyone in the family could not eat it. The spare ribs were so dry and burned. The General Tso chicken tasted like old chicken, the sauce smelled , and tasted bad. The hot and sour soup was like a boiled mixture of water , cornstarch and dark coloring. It is tasteless and awful....Basically the food is not good for consumption. I was so disappointed and brought the food back to the store. They did not even have the courtesy to offer a refund or partial refund. Even if they give me a full refund, I will still stay far away from this establishment.
