Hunan Dynasty — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

The worst chinese restaurant on the planet. Disrespectful staff. Waitresses did not serve us at all, gave us dirty looks throughout our meal, didn’t help us one bit. Complained to the owners and they became very confrontational with us to the point where my boyfriend came very close to escalatating the situation (if you know what i mean). The chicken was very rubbery and the people barely speak english. Do not eat at this despicable establishment.

IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE:

Your place of business, took forever to bring out our entree. Your place of business did not ask us at all if we were enjoying our meal, did not ask us if we needed anything else, did not refill our waters. When we signaled your waitresses to come over - they ignored us. The one time they did come over because we signaled them - they gave us dirty looks when we asked for new silverware. All the other tables were being cared for and taken care of - except us? Now you’re being nasty making comments about being spoon-fed? You can’t even refill our waters!! Your staff barely speaks english - we had to repeat our order multiple times. You operate a business in the U.S. - learn to speak English. In your response to my review you said that you were confused about our comments? You were confused because you don’t understand English well, you weren’t understanding what we were saying. Above all - your chicken was disgusting - very rubbery. Read the other reviews that people have left you. You have received numerous complaints about the quality of your food. Does the Department of Health need to be contacted?! Maybe we should give them a call and see if you’re doing everything properly and...

Ate at this restaurant recently and will never come back. Here is why. Waitresses were disrespectful and provided zero help. The chicken and broccoli meal tasted horrible. I couldn't eat the chicken, it was very chewy and I had to spit it out. 🤢 Spoke with the owners and they were nasty and combative towards me. You ever hear of the saying the customer is always right? However, its not about right or wrong its about making things right and being respectful and you guys acted the total opposite. The other customers that were there, were being accommodated while I was left out in the wind. The owners poor excuse was - the waitress was busy cleaning the kitchen, meanwhile there were 3 other waitreses helping all the other tables!! Even if my waitress was busy in the kitchen does that mean she cant check on her customer? So, kitchen cleaning is more important? Instead of making things right you added more negativity by treating me poorly with your responses. Also, there were urine stains all over the toilet bowl and bathroom floor, paper towels all over the floor as well - clearly this restaurant does not clean the bathrooms properly. I had to ask for new silverware because my fork and knife were filthy. Will never come back to this place!! No wonder why this place has a poor Google rating. Look at all the other complaints people say about your restaurant?!?! Learn to be respectful and start cooking food that people can actually eat without spitting...

So I have finally found a Chinese restaurant that full fills my wants. I have been seeing a lot of people chattering good things about this place. When walking in you are greeted by the friendly staff. The place looks newly renovated. The place is a little small but it works.

For an appetizer I tried the spare ribs. So good, not overly sweet and not too salty. For entrées we got shrimp with broccoli and brown rice. The second entrée was roast pork egg foo young with brown rice. The shrimp was big and meaty and the broccoli was good to boot as well. The egg foo young was delicious as well. It had tasty pieces of roast pork. Now both dishes were great and the sauces were great as well, but my only problem is that they are skimpy on the sauces. So definitely ask for extra on the side. Our waiter David was great, and funny too!
