Panda House Kitchen — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Have been ordering from Panda House for quite a while. However, today was our last time. The food here is pretty good if you actually receive it. Customer service is horrific. You can expect a 50/50 chance items will be missing from your order.

Today we ordered from Panda House for a New Year's Eve get together. It was a 45 minute wait for delivery, which was fine and exactly what they quoted.

Unfortunately, 4 items were missing from our order, 3 of them being appetizers. Called Panda House and was quoted 25 minutes for the missing items. After complaining, they said 15 to 20 minutes.

Sure enough, it was in fact another 45 minute wait for our missing items. Since we were done with dinner by the time the missing items arrived, I told the driver I didn't want the food and to just give me my money back. The driver then proceeded to try to make a deal with me, offering me the food and half my money back. I demanded and received the full money back for the missing food, and the driver left with it.

Panda House should have given us our money back and the missing food for free, at the very least.

To be clear missing food is a common occurence at Panda House, and quite honestly it seems the staff could care less. Complete incompetance for something so simple. I am done putting up with their nonsense for the sake of decent Chinese takeout.

I do not understand what has happened to Panda in the last few weeks.. but, I’ve never been so disappointed. We’ve been ordering from here for 3 years, the food is always delicious.. but these last few times they just keep messing up our order.. forgetting sauces... we have called back for our sauces, ordered food to make it less of a hassle, and they STILL forgot our sauces. We gave it one more try, made it very stern not to forget anything... and what happens? They forgot the sauce which is advertised with there meal... again, for the third time. Thank you Panda for being delicious, but until you can double check your order before paying.. don’t bother. Also- they walked through our backyard to our door (which is fine) but left the gate wide open.. and we have pets... i don’t...

The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Service is quick and efficient. There are only 4 tables there and I have not seen anyone eating there, hence the 3 star rating. They have lots of repeat business and they REMEMBER you and what and how you like it. E. G., I don't like the paper bag stapled, and they never stapled it once I asked them not to. They KNOW I want my entrees without salt, and that I always ask for two sets of chopsticks. Out of all of the Chinese restaurants I have visited in my life, Panda House actually LISTENS, and is decidedly friendly, unlike most of the others, where you are greeted with "What you want?" barked at you.
