Search within reviews Yelp Sort Sfliny F. Forest Hills, NY 511363 9/9/2021 On Labor Day a group of us decided to come here to eat because of their outdoor option. Service was good, the server/bar tender was as pleasant as can be. That is why the two (2) stars are in the rating. We did come to have dinner however, after trying multiple appetizers we decided to skip on the main meal. None of the appetizers were good (with exception the the side of Fries). The fried calamari rings were lightly battered and presentation was nice but not one person in our group liked the flavor. Nearly the entire portion went into the garbage. The buffalo chicken dip with corn chips was full of oil and had minimal flavor, another dish that was 1/4 eaten and the rest went into the trash. Deep fried cheese steak quarters were ok, but only three of the four pieces were eaten. Bottled beers can't be judged because of obvious reasons but the selection was good. Service was with a huge smile but the food was just...

As a person who drinks non alcoholic drink options I was not pleased with the selection at the Tipsy Barrel. I didn't have the food, if I do eat here I would consider updating my review. It's possible I'll be a somewhat regular attendee here since my friend has been hired to host karaoke here on Saturday nights, go to Brian's Karaoke on Saturday nights if you're reading this.

The bartender was nice, the people in the bar were pretty friendly, it is a nice little hang out spot.

I saddled up to the bar and asked if they had any non alcoholic beers, they did not. They had no orange juice, they had no cranberry juice so there went my standards of cranberry juice and seltzer, or orange juice and seltzer. Eventually I asked for red bull, no energy drinks either. I had a diet coke and later on a Shirley temple with no cherries :(

So I like it here but for those of us that abstain from alcohol for whatever reason, can we have more drink...

I've been going here for a while now every Tuesday for their tacos. It seems that they have different themes for different days but I'm a tacos kinda guy.

Aside from their great staff, awesome aesthetics and great selection of drinks, they also have a great cook which is a big plus, his tacos are great!

The weather has been getting better and the outside seating has become available, I can't wait to hang out there with a few drinks and tacos!

My favorite is the baja fish tacos, perfectly seasoned, crispy and fresh.

They have a jukebox that you can download an app named AMI Music that allows you to play music from your phone. I'm a sucker for these kinds of things, love a good song when eating tacos.

Looking forward to returning and greated with pleasant smiles from the staff, as long as they keep the tacos...
