I was looking for a tasty meal the reviews for this restaurant really painted a great picture of culinary deliciousness. Unfortunately the experience was a culinary disappointment. My son's chicken sandwich was subpar, chicken dry bread heavily over toasted and lettuce not on the freshest side. My daughter's $20 sirloin steak sandwich was the equivalent of a Costco steakum box. At least the bread was not over toasted. My wife got a double smashburger that one in the garbage half because of the curly hair found in the patty the other half because it was the worst smashburger that we have ever experienced. I ordered the shrimp dinner which was acceptable. It was a first and last for us there are many other suitable choices in the area. Farm to table is very misleading. The place was completely empty we were the only people sitting down during the dinner time frame which should have said something. The one server was a very nice but after he put the food on the table never came back once to check on us or ask if we needed a drink or condiments. That's really weird considering we were the only people sitting and eating and we should have gotten unlimited service because of it. Sorry wild feast, My family really wished that you lived up to your reputation and that it was not...
Read moreDuring these challenging times, I have been ordering out and The Wild Feast Cafe by far has exceeded my wildest expectations. My son, who is a "tough customer" couldn't stop bragging about "Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich": full of flavor, meat so soft, juicy, and tasty, not to mention the accompanying sauce and all the garnishing and most aromatic truffle fries. Since we are staying indoors for the most part due to the pandemic, we have ordered an abundance of other items on the menu: "Potato Leek and Crab Bisque", "Asparagus Spinach and Lemon Soup": feast of flavors and aroma. "Shaved Brussels Sprout Salad", "Loaded Hummus" , "Adriatic Cauliflower Risotto" exuded nothing but seasoned freshness. "Wild Shrimp Po'Boy ", "Thai Basil Shrimp Fried Rice" - super fresh shrimp , again full of exquisite flavors. Last but not least - their deserts are baked on premises, we have tried Heirloom Carrot Cake, Vegan Chocolate Cake and Flour-less Chocolate cake - seriously: out of this world, not too sweet, flavorful and very satisfying after this amazing feast. Highly recommending this place . We will be coming...
Read moreWe were in New York for a family wedding, and there were many different diets we needed to accommodate, from vegan, to gluten-free, to some very specific food sensitivities. Everyone was able to get a dish they LOVED. The food was so delicious and what a delight to be able to eat so healthily. Valentino is an absolute doll and made sure we each got exactly what we wanted and needed. The only disappointment was that we simply couldn't stop eating the food so didn't leave room for dessert! And didn't have a way to take it with us. Is it crazy to want to fly back to NY just to go to The Wild Feast? This is 100%, hands down one of the best meals I've had as a vegan while eating out. I desperately wish we had something like this where I live!
I'll be back someday! In the meantime, if you're lucky enough to be close enough to try it - don't hesitate! Fresh, locally sourced, delicious food you can customize to your tastes - what...
