I'm giving this place 2 stars because i know they can do better but maybe just don't realize the need for attention to detail.

Place looks a bit crammed and grim. Its almost like they are forced to be there. There were people dinning in but they too look puzzled. Great location but not decorated well. Needs a special touch, this is clearly the staff or management marginalizing the importance of interior decoration and flow

Staff seemed OK on average. Maybe the guy that served me was New while the others were more seasoned deli people i can tell. I don't know but they were acting sketchy and I don't think they needed to. Just needed to be warmer and more offering.

food, not great. I ordered a pastrami, egg and cheese on a bagel. Pastrami looked like it was found in a random Tupperware with only last 2 slices left. They took it out slowly in front of me and looked as of they were concerned it was spoiled, they said nothing. Mysterious meat went to the back. A few minutes later, I had a sandwich packaged. I overpaid proudly and then left. I opened the sandwich, and the first thing I noticed was how mushy it was it all was. Almost as if I left it in the bag for hours. Not the case, maybe 2 minutes at most. Bagel wasn't toasted which was probably the biggest offender. In fairness I didn't ask either for it to be toasted, but common. You are the sales assistant ask me what else i could want to make that sandwich better, extra jalapeño, toasting, anything. Ask me if I want coffee. Nothing. Just cold. Then I took one bite....... OMG, gross. I nearly gagged. The pastrami was barely cooked in a soggy bagel. How do they think this is normal. and it wasn't too busy or overwhelming. Not sure why something as simple as a sandwich they couldn't do right. I threw away the rest which cost me about 12 bucks. Bit of a waste I'd say.

I believe there is alot of room for improvement. I think the staff has potential but management needs to bring in experts to teach right from wrong in the...

me and my family loved this place since it opened, however, idk if they hired new people or something but my last four orders were all wrong like, completely wrong with things missing and everything - i ordered one bagel with butter and they gave me poppy instead of sesame and the other day i ordered something with a muffin and our order literally took 2 hours for delivery because they didn't have my muffin and waited two hours to call me about it like??? , if this was some kind of massive thing i ordered or whatever i wouldn't write this but it was literally a bagel lol, the staff and owner are super generous when they make a mistake but i would rather there just not be so many i mean, we live right down the road and have probably had our order screwed a little less than ten times they probably know exactly who i am writing this that's how many times they've screwed up our order, the food here is SO good but there's no way i'm spending any money here again if i literally can't get a bagel - not to mention the owners are anti-mask and we have seen them many times without them on while working, wasn't gonna say anything but at this point i'm straight up wasting and losing money...

REPLYING BACK TO YOU:

Donnie, this isn't about receiving a complimentary breakfast. But thank you for the offer.

If I knew the answer to running a high volume food establishment and maintaining quality during peak times I'd be a consultant to the industry. I would say, think about speaking to a consultant, and hire the manpower you need even if you have to pay well above the norm during "peak". Good Luck _

We’ve been going to Blue Line regularly since they opened and it has always been delicious! The staff is very friendly and always ready to talk Islanders hockey. We recently got catering from them for two events and the food was top notch! Both times we ordered the sandwich basket which comes with three very large sides. The sandwiches were super fresh and individually wrapped which my friends liked. There was a great variety, many people had a hard time deciding which sandwich to have. There was SO MUCH FOOD!!! There was a whole second layer of sandwiches under the top layer shown in the photos. With the sides you can pick any of the salads they offer which was a nice change from the typical Cole slaw, potato salad and macaroni salad that typically comes with catering orders from other places. Danny was great taking my order and made sure to ask if there were any dietary restrictions or special sandwiches we needed for our guests. We will most definitely be catering from them again and will continue to go there regularly for breakfast and lunch.

The sign said the breakfast special was $4.99 but I was charged $6.51 (plus the understandable credit card fees and tax). When I asked, the guy pointed to a tiny index card taped to the bottom of the screen that says "prices subject to change". I understand that prices everywhere have been going up lately because of the supply chain issues but I don't understand how a digital sign couldn't be updated to reflect the new price. In terms of the food, it was fast and fresh. I would say it's on pare with other bagel places. It was good but nothing special. Update: my original review was five months ago and I came back today while in the area for work (I live out of state). I was surprised that the prices posted are the same as before since their excuse was waiting on new signage. They did have a sign taped to the register stating that prices keep changing because of inflation. My confusion is that the prices have obviously been increased multiple times since my first visit yet the sign hasn't been changed once. Food was still good.

Stopped in the other day for lunch as I saw the Boars Head meats sign. Clean inside with seating if you want and parking was easy. I ordered the #9 Italian sub and grabbed my favorite Maui onion chips and a couple drinks. The sandwich came with a side salad and got the macaroni. The sandwich was ok, there was way too much lettuce and very skimpy on the meats. Honestly I wish they had a double meat option as it needed it. They might keep light on the meats for the price point. The bread was ok nothing great. So I tried the macaroni salad it was some commercial processed salad so I didn’t eat it.
