I honestly don’t understand how Dive Kismet is still in business. From the moment we sat down, it was one disappointment after another. First, the water they served tasted absolutely awful—like old tap water with a metallic aftertaste. Out of curiosity, I asked the bus boy how they fill it, and to my shock, he casually told me they get it straight from the sink. No filtration. No care for quality. I was stunned that a restaurant would think that’s acceptable.
The food was just as bad. Every dish we ordered was bland, poorly prepared, and completely lacking in flavor. Nothing tasted fresh, and it seemed like no effort went into presentation or quality. Honestly, I’ve had better meals from frozen dinners.
If the bad food and water weren’t enough, the music was painfully loud—inside and outside. I had to shout to talk to my husband, and even then, we could barely hear each other. It felt more like being in a chaotic club than a place to enjoy a meal.
To top it all off, the staff seemed completely uninterested in their jobs. Every time I looked toward the back, the entire crew was huddled together, laughing, chatting, and scrolling on their phones instead of taking care of guests. We felt ignored the entire time, and no one bothered to check in or make sure we were okay.
This place is a total disaster— water tasted gross, bad food, deafening noise, and bad customer service. Save your money, save your time, and go literally anywhere else. I will never set foot in Dive Kismet again, and I strongly recommend you...
Read moreAugust 2025: Update: good was amazing this time! Ordered completely different items than our visit in June’25. For a joint appetizer we ordered the burrata which includes a pesto injection, heirloom tomatoes, arugula, fresh watermelon, arugula oil, sea salt. It was to dieeee for! I could’ve had this and only this all day. For my main, I ordered the chicken Caesar salad. It was tasty, better than average. My partner ordered their chicken and waffle sandwich- cholula honey fried chicken / waffles / pickles. Next time I return, I’m ordering this over anything else (except the burrata). 10000% go! Dog friendly outside on the patio.
June 2025: Food was okay- it was edible but the taste needed help. The atmosphere was nice. We sat out under an umbrella by the tent for live music. We ordered drinks and food at the bar, and when the food was ready they brought it to the table. $15 for cocktail. We had the sea shanty drink and the deep dive. Both very tasty and strong. For food we had the cold lobster roll which is hard to eat because the meat wasn’t really in the roll. The taste was average. We also had the old bay cod tacos, with fries. They needed to be more seasoned especially with salt. The fries were double fried and it...
Read moreMy partner and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Dive in Kismet, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly matched the laid-back, beachy vibe of Fire Island—but what truly made the experience unforgettable was our server, Lily.
From the moment we sat down, Lily made us feel genuinely welcomed and completely taken care of. She struck that perfect balance of being attentive without ever hovering—anticipating what we needed before we even had to ask. It’s rare to find someone so warm, thoughtful, and genuinely kind in service, and Lily went above and beyond to make sure our evening was relaxed and special.
Whether it was helping us choose the perfect drinks or remembering the small details that made our dinner feel personalized, she really made us feel like VIPs. It’s that kind of service that turns a good meal into a great memory.
If you're in Kismet, do yourself a favor and head to Dive—and if you're lucky enough to have Lily as your server, you're in for a truly...
