The food is mediocre, but there aren’t many options for a meal out of the house in kismet/saltaire. Sometimes you just don’t want to cook, and the Inn definitely hits the spot on those occasions. Sitting at the bar is always a good time. Good music selection, cold beer, hot steamers. What more could you want from a place like this? I’ve been coming to the Inn for the better part of 30 years, and I’m not stopping just because the food isn’t 5-star. Keep on keepin on, Inn. You’re good.

I have fond childhood memories spending Summers with my father in Kismet. This was the spot. Great fresh food and bustling with party goers drinking the summer away. Well the place hasn't changed as far as the bustling crowd in fact the crowds are now three times the size and the nightlife is great with the addition of new surrounding restaurants and quality live music. Unfortunately the food has went horribly downhill. They brought my son a hot dog the bread had a patch of green mold the size of Bic lighter. , I don't know how it is possible this was passed from kitchen to server without being noticed. The waitress looked as if she was going to throw up when we brought it to her attention. I ordered the broiled seafood platter which came with some decent broiled clams some very tasty baby scallops and a nice filet of completely rotten soul that smelled of ammonia. When I was served I squeeze fresh lemon over the filet, then as I raised the first bite of fish to my mouth I noticed a funny smell. I smelled the small piece of fish at the tip of the fork and the smell of ammonia overpowered the fresh lemon enough to slightly burn my nose. It's a terrible shame looks if I find myself in this establishment the bar will be where my visit ends. I did not want to make a fuss so I politely inform the waitress of the situation declining a replacement. The waitress told me that she wanted to smell the fish it was obvious she did not believe me. That's the second time I saw a look of disgust wash over her face. She apologized I told her if my childhood experience that I was sorley disappointed. She boldly exclaimed that the place is not what it used to be and made...

Zero stars if I could. Highly dissatisfied in all aspects- food, service, wait time, pricing. A friend & I just came to dine in today- off season for them now since everyone is back to school. The restaurant when we walked in was not too busy, a handful of tables and people at the bar. The waitress was not the friendliest, she just seemed short as we were ordering. We chose to split the chicken parmesan entree and order a Caesar salad & mussels as an appetizer. The caesar salad was just okay- lacking dressing. The mussels were subpar- I had better white wine sauce. The appetizers came out in a typical time frame- around 10 minutes after ordering. As for the chicken parmesan- we were unpleasantly surprised once the plate arrived to the table after a 40 minute wait time (& the waitress ran away right after.) First- the portion was crazy for a $30 price point. One hefty piece of chewy chicken that was tough to slice through, maybe only 8 crinkle cut frozen unsalted fries & one corn on the cobb. We had wished the waitress would have warned us of the portion size when we told her we were splitting it. My friend also had to get the ketchup herself-she asked the waitress and 5 minutes later we saw her just bussing tables to get out quicker we were assuming. I guess this is why there is a lack of photos of the food they serve online. 0/10...

I will never bring my business back to the Kismet Inn. We had family in town from out of state and wanted to take them to Kismet on our boat for dinner. It was a Friday night so we understood it would be busy. We called when we were 2 minutes away and they told us they had 2 dock slips open. When we pulled up the dock master told us they did not, which we completely understood being a Friday night. We told him we would wait for someone to leave and he sarcastically said “good luck with that”. He then proceeded to let 5 boats in ahead of us while we were waiting in the bay. When a spot on the outer dock opened up, we pulled in and had already started tying up to the dock, he told us we were unable to stay but had no reason as to why…We have never experienced this rude behavior from a dock master in all of our years of boating. I told the dock master before leaving he did not need to behave that way when paying customers who always tip their dock masters well are just trying to have a nice dinner. We then went to ocean beach and had no problem docking or with the dock master per usual. Highly disappointed in the service...
