Sadly the last two times I went to Cabaña with my wife, we had to leave. The first time we went in and there were some girls working at the bar but we were not met with a hostess to be seated. We waited for two or three minutes, we were looked at, but not attended. The second time we went, to give it another chance, one of the waiters, treated us well and sat us. We were served chips, and water, and we looked through the menu, in our iPhones. We were ready to order after about five or six minutes. But then felt completely ignored. We were into the experience for about 18 minutes, and still the waiter had not asked us fir our order. A party of four who came in after us, were already seated, with their drinks, and having their order taken. We had a separate waiter, who looked at us and walked passed us without taking our order. We could no longer wait, and got up and left. This is unfortunate. My wife and I used to love coming here before Covid. Not sure if it’s Covid or whatever, but the service has gone down. They need to hire a delegate hostess who greets and seats people and not rely on the waiters to do this. The quality if service...
Read moreThis place is really good. The building looks a little shady from the outside, but it's not as bad once you get past the first set of doors. The staff was very nice. The food was pretty delicious. We were impressed with how many different varieties of mofongo they had and so we had to get a few of them. It was prepared a little different than we've ever seen it done before, but it was delicious. Each type comes with its own individual sauce on the side also, which was really great. We also had an order of grilled garlic chicken which was tasty but a bit overdone. The rice and beans were also very good. Overall, we definitely enjoyed our meal and were very pleasantly surprised with our random choice. We were visiting the area from NJ and FL, but would definitely return if we were closer. I'm not one to really complain, my only "issue" was that their baby high chairs didn't have functioning safety belts to strap my daughter in. Thankfully she wasn't trying too hard to do her Houdini escape artist stunts while...
Read moreI went to the restaurant to order take out. Every kind of meat we ordered was not available. We were a little disappointed to hear that they only have breaded chicken cutlet and chicken parm. Ok, fine, we ordered the breaded cutlet. Tried to use my debit card to pay, the guy told me they don't take credit/debit cards. No worries, they had an ATM in the restaurant. I tried to use it but it was out of service. Frustrated, I went to tell them to forget it because the ATM is not working and I didn't have cash on me. As I was ready to leave, the woman behind the counter said she can charge the card through a sister restaurant. I said ok thank you. Then I see her processing the payment with her credit card machine. I was dissatisfied with all the inconvenience I experienced. AND to top it off, the breaded chicken cutlet was overcooked and hard making it...
