Get the grandma's pizza pie... Mamma's is a fancy place with a nice atmosphere sure to impress( the crowd inside is proof of it's popularity)... Unfortunately forget about the chicken cutlet Parmesan and or meatball hero imo. Both of which I ordered to takeout but was not a very good first impression! The Chicken Parm entree was a thick cut loaded with mozzarella piled high over the top but kinda dry lacking enough gravy ( tomato sauce). The side of angelhair pasta and meatball hero was ordered with extra gravy and I also requested the hero bread to be toasted, but the pasta came dry, never got the extra gravy and the hero was received untoasted making it very soggy not appetizing at all. Too bad to ruin our two classic dishes! Remember we only had two items from the menu, it is filled with some classics so you must try these other dishes to give mamma's try for yourself. Let me tell you the grandma's slice I had was so good I forgot to take a pic until I chowed down on half of it lol. ( see pic) I will definitely be back for the pizza and surely give some other items in the menu a try...I suggest you to do the same. Last but not least how could a business have the nerve to change 5% to pay by credit card, why? For this reason alone I will look elsewhere because to me this is price...
Read moreI would like to share my experience at a wonderful restaurant called Mamma Satina, located in the village of Brightwaters, New York. This establishment offers truly authentic Italian cuisine that left a lasting impression. The pizzas were nothing short of artwork; I have never witnessed such a meticulous demonstration of unique pizza creations. The atmosphere of the restaurant was exceptional, boasting a clean and inviting interior with friendly service. Outdoor seating was also available, perfect for enjoying a meal in the fresh air. It is evident that great care is taken in hiring their staff. The host at the front was warm, welcoming, and humorous, immediately remembering my name and incorporating it into our interactions throughout the evening. Our waitress was an absolute delight—courteous, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. She made our dining experience even more enjoyable. As for the food, it was terrific. There were no shortcuts taken; every dish was deeply rooted in Italian culture. Overall, I was pleased with every aspect of my visit. I highly recommend Mamma Satina to anyone in search of a high-quality dining experience. It is more than just a pizzeria; it truly offers fine dining...
Read moreMamma Santina's has the best and most consistent pizza in the area. There are or were some other great pizza places, but their pizza seems to always be in a constant state of flux.
Mamma Santina's pizza has just the right amount of sauce, that's not too tangy and not too sweet, put on an enjoyable crust and topped with very high quality cheeses. The service is always friendly and as fast as possible considering the lines they often have (worth it though).
PROS: · Amazing pizza that has a consistent taste over the last decade or more. · Tasty crust that "just tastes good" without the need for all the embellishments others try to make their crusts appealing (like tons of seasonings or cheese filling). · Friendly and fast service.
CONS: I don't really have any but one. In over a decade of buying pizza from them, I've occasionally (3 times) experienced undercooked pizza (cheese not cooked enough) on busy days, but that's so few and far between, I am not counting it. That leaves: · No delivery.
Even though they do not deliver, I enjoy their pizza so much that I make the drive...
