My first wife and I were in the mood for some great “slices” for a casual dinner after we had developed quite an appetite after our latest sweaty “reconciliation” session.

Maria’s was highly recommended by some of the locals who know where to get “great” and affordable pizza out in this neck of Long Island.

Jackie staffed the counter and Leo was manning the ovens that evening. The food was great! We both ended having a slice of the BBQ pizza as well as a slice of the Buffalo Chicken pizza. Two slices was plenty and super affordable and it only took minutes to reheat from the extensive display of pizza options.

For a little sweetness, we also ordered two of the yummy chocolate-covered, home made doughnuts.

Although we could have dined there, the place is clearly more of a take out place, rather than a fine dining establishment.

Feasting on pizza and donuts from Maria’s was THE perfect way to celebrate our successful reconnection before we both collapsed into a deep, satisfying sleep.

Highly recommended!! Although we live far away, we will be back — probably with our...

The new owner Maria is very professional, and gracious. A nice atmosphere with relaxing music. The most important thing is that the food is delicious! Customer service is great and she gave me some free Zeppoli‘s to try, they were still warm, very light, and not thick heavy dough. It felt like a family recipe and was really delicious. I’ve been back a couple of times, and had the opportunity to try the chicken Caesar wrap, and some homemade potato chips that they make there and are absolutely scrumptious. This is definitely a higher end quality pizzeria at neighborhood prices! I couldn’t take a picture of the Zeppoli’s because they were irresistible… which were the best I have ever tasted! I will definitely be back. I was happy to learn that they also do breakfast and take out pasta if you want to take home dinner after work. That’s my plan.. I did include a picture of the chicken, Caesar wrap, and the homemade potato chips. Happy I...

I have to admit. I was a bit underwhelmed by the food here. The rating was very high and i expected better. I got the chicken pesto with pasta. Definitely was not great and halfway through my meal i ended up chewing on a strip of tin foil that was in the food. I thought that the chicken was cut too small and overall it was missing something, flavor wise. I also ordered some sauteed spinach. It was so unbelievably salty i couldnt eat it. Im sensitive to salt, so it probably was stronger tasting to me than most, but it was definitely too much. I tried a slice of cheese pizza as well. It wasnt my favorite style of pizza but it was pretty good. The crust was crispy on the bottom and the tomato flavor was good. I prefer a thinner crust and less cheese on mine, but if you like a cheesy pizza, its a good choice. Customer service was great and...

The meat lovers pizza was absolutely delicious. From the dough, to the sauce, quality of the meats. I could tell this pizza's going to be different just by the smell! Chicken Marsala: pizza was amazing! Savory and delicious, different not something you see often at a pizzeria. Maria's Special: cup and char pepperoni, vodka sauce, fresh mozzarella and Greek honey. It was very delicious, not too sweet from the honey and the pepperoni add a little spice to it as well.
