Mustang's Restaurant and Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Town of Islip

So upset with this place. We especially went there because we thought it was halal. But when I talked to a friend of mine she told me the apple pies were haram. So if owner doesn't care about the apple pies having lard in them, why would he care about the rest of the food? I didn't believe her at first until I googled the company on the apple pie packet. It was called sweet stuffers, from J&J snack foods. A company from NJ. Google it yourself. Sure enough it says the fruit pies have lard in them. Anyone with any sense knows that is pork fat! When my husband called the owner he argued with my husband that it's "his sin"?? Really? So just serve haram food while advertising it as halal and it's okay? No apology. Nothing! So...like I said if he doesn't care his pies are haram....then who knows if he cares about his chicken or beef? !? So sad when we can't even trust the few Halal places we have...

The food is really good but the customer service is terrible i called today to see if they can bring it to my car because im sick i didnt feel comfortable going into the store where people where and possibly getting them sick so i politly asked if they can do curbside and the girl who answerd the phone jus said yiu can come in and get the food and hung up that is no way to treat a customer or person for that matter we are all human and we should be treated as such just because you dont like your job dont mean you csn just treat...

Favorite fried chicken/comfort food place to go to on the ENTIRE island. Authentic quality, friendly staff and the owner MO is an amazing guy. You can tell the guy gives his business 100% effort just in the quality and taste of his food. From ice cream, to chicken, to pizza and gyros this place has it covered. Priced as fairly as anywhere else you MUST check this place out. Will be going back here many more times to try all the items on the menu,...
