Tex’s Chicken & Burgers — Restaurant in Town of Islip

I recently visited Texas chicken and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped for. While I was looking forward to enjoying a nice meal, I was met with incredibly rude behavior from the morning shift girl.

From the moment I approached, the girl was dismissive and unhelpful. When I asked a simple question about the menu, she rolled her eyes and responded in a condescending tone, making me feel unwelcome. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but there's no excuse for treating customers with such disrespect.

The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, but this interaction really soured my visit. Customer service is just as important as the food itself, and unfortunately, I left feeling frustrated and disheartened. I hope management addresses this issue so that future customers have a better experience than I did.

Unfortunately, I won’t be returning anytime soon unless I hear improvements are made for the morning shift, although the night shift is a really good shift , the employees impress me with how good their customer service is, they are very fast . This place is great and I will definitely be back. I wanted to share some things I noticed. First off the food is great and definitely not a knock off of Popeyes. The biscuits are delicious. The chicken is always fresh, though there may be a bit of a wait for it, staff is friendly and customer service is awesome. I liked that when it was slow the staff prioritized cleaning the bathroom and dining area compared to other places that leave those areas dirty and simply don’t care. I also wanted to mention Najib E who has helped us more than once and she is wonderful. The first time I went she delt with a rude customer yelling over something stupid and stayed calm and handled it like a pro. I highly recommend.
