We have been to Bacio's many times since it opened, & up until this Valentine's Day, we have always had wonderful meals & recommended it to many people. All that stopped last week, when we were kept waiting, despite having a reservation. Our server, who was too busy chatting with the other customers to take our order for wine, reluctantly took our food order, & then disappeared for about a half hour. (The menu was quite limited, unlike the usual menu.) Other people who were seated the same time as us were getting their orders, while we sat at our table, being ignored by our server, who never bothered to show up again. The food arrived about half an hour later, and was acceptable, but not up to Bacio's usual quality. When we finally had to walk up to our server to ask for our check, without making eye contact she handed it to us, apparently aleady prepared, without asking if there was anything else we wanted. She then resumed talking to some other (no doubt more frequent) diners. If Bacio's wants to run the place like a private club, maybe it should become one, instead of holding itself as a public dining facility. We will not...
Read moreBacio is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. I’ve been multiple times and have never had a bad meal nor a bad experience with the staff.
First off the food. It’s simple, yet delicious. Some of the meals feel perfectly home made, while others feel as though it’s too good to be true in a little restaurant like this. My server always makes great suggestions, and they’re often a great balance of flavors and amount.
Speaking of the servers, they are incredibly nice and knowledgeable. From the bus boy to the owner himself, they will un-obtrusively make sure you have everything you need and make sure you find your best meal.
The atmosphere is quiet and small, however it’s very cozy and intimate. A recent renovation opened up the ceilings giving a more spacious feel, while not losing the quaint feeling.
I can not recommend bacio highly enough! If you haven’t been to bacio yet and you’re at all curious, do yourself a favor and check it out- you will...
Read moreBacio might be the best Italian restaurant in the area. Every dish seems to the bring its A game. Recent design upgrades expanded the restaurant and provided a nice, clean look. The owner is always there and makes sure things run smoothly.
Start with the fried calamari. But don't fill up on apps because the main courses are absurdly good. If you are looking for some heavy pasta, go with the Cannelloni. If you want meat, you absolutely need to go with the Berkshire Pork Chop with Cherry Peppers -- it is exploding with flavor and heat. The cherry peppers blend perfectly with the port and sausage.
Deserts are also good. Wine: go simple with a glass of the benvolio pinot grigio. ...
