Went here with my girlfriend a few weekends ago and it was a very pleasant experience! We were in Danbury and decided to search homemade ice cream near me, then this place showed up. We got there and the owner, Barbara, was very welcoming! She talked to us and gave us a little backstory of how she started her business. My girlfriend got a scoop of the butter pecan, which she said was very good, and I got a scoop of the Dutch cookie which was also very tasty! We took home a pint of the vanilla bean and just tried some tonight. Holy moly it was amazing!🙌 My girlfriend and I both agreed this was the best tasting vanilla bean ice cream we have ever tasted. It was smooth, creamy, and just delicious. We will definitely be coming back for more!
She only takes cash, but she said we could place an order online with items that equalled to two scoops, then we got the 1 pint to take home.
For the one person that said this woman’s ice cream tasted like Breyers, I think you need to expand your tastebuds and understand what homemade tastes like versus crappy processed ice cream with unnatural ingredients.
And for people complaining about prices, you’re paying for “homemade” ice cream. If you wanted cheap crappy ice cream, just go to the grocery store. You typically pay more for anything that is homemade. There’s more love and labor put into it versus a machine doing all of the work that’s mass producing hundreds of gallons.
My girlfriend and I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be making our way back here soon. We love supporting small businesses and Barbara is such a kind...
Read moreWe finally pulled in to try this place as we've passed it visiting family many times. A hot sunny Sunday at 5pm and this place was completely empty. That should have been our sign to turn around. A woman sitting at the front door had the entrance blocked off and had the flavors listed on a sign out front, she said nobody can go inside and that she would take the order and bring it out. There were no prices listed anywhere, that was also odd. I order 2 scoops of ice cream and my fiance ordered a shake. After 15 minutes she comes out with 2 tiny servings of ice ream in little plastic saucers and said quote "That will be $20." We were taken back. These were tiny servings, like a free sample at Costco size. When my fiance asked what happened with the shake the lady said she didn't know... My fiance asked her to please make the shake she ordered and the lady had the neve to say "l'll need to charge you an additional $5 for the milk if you really want me to make you the shake." At this point I thought we were being pranked or candid camera'd. Sadly we were not. All I can advise is steer clear...

The owner is very interesting to talk with. Ice cream and homemade cakes and desserts were so, so good. She even offers vegan options! Notes: Picnic tables available outside. Inside is currently closed. She'll take your order at the door. it was cash only on the day we went (not sure if that's always the policy.) Don't go if you're in a hurry. Part of the charm of visiting this establishment is the time taken with each customer. Everything was fabulous -- well...
