Tico's Mex Mex — Restaurant in Town of Lyme

Usually a good little place but a couple weeks ago, I just did a pick up for nachos. When we eat in, the one waitress acts like we have a disease and is stand offish but we don’t take that personally. The owner usually comes out to greet us which we like. But, for my pick up, it seemed as of everyone was away and the kids were manning the restaurant. It was a Sat eve but barren. The one kid had his gf at the bar making eyes at one another and the other was sneezing and hacking, even when he went in the kitchen to make my nachos. Which were sloppily presented with some cheese thrown on and beef slopped on. I make better (and should’ve gotten stuff at dollar general for half) to make my own. I season my beef and ingredients but I usually like this place and thought I’d support a small business. One girl was on the other side eating and texting. Seemed like a free for all and rather barren but despite being so slow, plates and dishes were piled up on the tables and the place was a mess. I won’t be in a super hurry...

Great local, family owned Mexican restaurant, recommended if you are in the area to grab a nice lunch/dinner Super nice staff,good portion size I ordered: Guacamole -it was super fresh but a bit unseasoned for my taste,was missing a bit of heat and salt, but the avocado itself was mashed to order and was very tasty .

Mole and Pulled beef Enchiladas with beans and rice- very nice portion,the beef was good and juicy

Blueberry Margarita - a bit of a miss for me,tasted like the color blue, I was missing the signature taste of a margarita there unfortunately

I would definitely come back to taste...

Waited 1 hour 45 minutes never got my food, lost my order, then kept giving food to other people before me that ordered long after me Absolutely ridiculous. When I finally complained they just refunded my money, and didn't give anything. Absolutely insane I waisted 2 hours, was fine waiting just felt if my order was lost I should be taken care of first. Instead was placed in back of line and expected to wait again for their mistake. Could have given me a priority order, or comped the meal. It was $19. 2 hours waisted. No food. Will not...
