What a pleasant surprise this place is. The service was impeccable. From the moment we walked in the door until we left. For a first time visit. We felt like family. We started with fresh baked bread with a garlic oil dip. Very tasty. We had the crab cake appetizer. This was recommended by a friend. Had to be one of the best appetizers I've ever had. I ordered the the shrimp Mario. It was amazing and you definitely won't go home hungry. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and served with veggies in a wine sauce. Would definitely get it again. My date had what is called the Mario surprise. She told the waitress what she preferred and Mario worked his magic with a seafood dish you wouldn't expect to find in Northern New York. We were so full from dinner that we ordered dessert to go. We got the chocolate mousse. I hate to admit it. But it looked so good that I had to have it for a bed time treat. Like the rest of our evening. It's was perfect. Will definitely be going back again. Hats off to Mario, Sandy and the staff. Excellent service. Excellent food and very nice atmosphere. The lobster was buttery, the salmon cooked right, Every single bite was pure delight! From surf to turf, they've mastered it all, At Riverside, fine dining stands ten feet tall!

The service was attentive, the staff knew their trade, Every course was perfectly timed and displayed. The wine list extensive, the cocktails so smooth, Riverside dining really helps you get in the groove!

Special occasions or a romantic night out, This restaurant knows what fine dining's about. By the water's edge with flavors so grand, Riverside Steak and Seafood is simply first-class brand!

An evening of excellence from start to end, Riverside is a place I'd always recommend!

Let's start by saying this family run restaurant is an institution in Malone. I've heard from numerous friends how good this place was, and I finally made the trip. I was not disappointed. The service was stellar, my glass never went empty, and the plates were cleared the moment they were empty, and it was busy in there, so that's not an easy feat. They are a well-oiled machine when it comes to service. Secondly, the ambiance of this place was great. Dimly lit but not dark, bustling yet quiet enough to hear my date, and amazing pictures on the wall from local artists to capture the upstate NY feel. Even a picture of Benecio Del Toro with the family. Lastly, the food, oh the glorious good food. It was phenomenal. Servings were huge enough that one haddock dinner was enough for my date and I. We also shared an order of meatballs as an appetizer. Everything here was worth stopping if you love Italian food. I will be back for sure. Next time, I will be trying their Italian staples, so wait for...
