Pops Barber Shop — Local services in Town of Malone

Pops Barber shop is one part therapy and one part haircut done well. I've been going here for some time now and I have to say that every haircut has been a wonderful experience. The Proprietors are kind and courteous and every haircut has a free side of insightful conversation. Reminiscent of the barbershops I used to go to with my grandfather growing up but with a new-age Twist. Every man should have their hot towel shave at least once in their life. It was a little bit of a culture shock going from an appointment model to first come first serve model. However, don't let that make you sour. We looked before we went, and there was nothing about being closed on their page. Two minutes after they were supposed to open, they posted that they were closed. It was 35 degrees outside, and we had our 6 year old with us. Went back the following week and waited over 6 hours with a 6 year old to get him a haircut. One of the barbers left in the middle of serving customers, saying he would be right back, ten minutes tops, and he took nearly two hours. We arrived before they opened, so plenty early. They do great work when you can actually get in, but not making appointments and the complete disregard for customers is very unfortunate. This place is amazing. I go here to get my haircut all the time. Sure, you have to either call ahead or wait a couple hours, but that in itself is a small price to pay to have a great hairstyle. The barber is friendly, the atmosphere has a nice old time feeling to it, and the prices are reasonable here. I cannot recommend this place enough.
