We decided to try Olè Bar and Grill with some friends, and overall we had a great experience despite a few bumps along the way.
When we arrived, we were greeted by the bartender who told us we could pick a table and have a seat. He came over and got our drinks while we sat and waited for the waitress. Our waitress was unfortunately pretty inattentive…we had to wait quite a while before anyone came to take our order or check on us. However, the bartender really stepped up and came over to our table himself to check in, refill our drinks, and make sure we were taken care of. That level of attentiveness didn’t go unnoticed and made a big difference in our experience.
We started with the empanadas, which were absolutely perfect. They were crispy on the outside, flavorful and well-seasoned on the inside.
There was a mix-up with our main order later on and we were told our ticket had accidentally been dropped and lost, which caused the long delay. Normally, this would be frustrating (especially since I hadn’t eaten all day and was starving), but the way the situation was handled truly impressed us.
The owner himself came out to apologize, explained the situation honestly, and reassured us that our food was being made fresh and would be out soon. Then, without being asked, he comped not one, not two, but FOUR full meals. He didn’t have to do that. We were fully prepared to pay, because honest mistakes happen, but he truly went above and beyond even checking in personally multiple times throughout the night after realizing what had happened.
When our food arrived, it was excellent. We ordered the Cubano, a smash burger, a pernil sandwich, and a pernil dinner. Everything was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor.
Overall, the food is great, and the customer service (especially from the bartender and the owner) was outstanding. We’ll definitely be back. Mistakes happen, but how you handle them matters, and the owner handled...
Read moreWe gave Olé Bar and Grill a try today. We were greeted immediately and given a table. Our waitress brought our drinks and menus. We waited 45 minutes for our meal to arrive, even though it was a slow evening with not many customers. The bartender noticed we had empty drinks, he served our drinks twice. The waitress passed the table multiple times without asking for refills. My husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich with fries; his sandwich was well-seasoned, but barbecue sauce was not offered. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich with fries. My sandwich contained dark meat, was full of tendons, and the chicken hung off the bun to the point that I had to cut it off. The french fries tasted like seafood for both of our meals. We noticed the menu prices were different from the online menu. I'm giving them two stars because the bartender was on it. He was so polite and apologized for the wait...
Read moreHands down, best food in town. Price is right and the food. My god. We ordered the empanadas (chx&beef), the crusty fried exterior with the sauce... like dang. The cubano sandwich, amazing. The spaghetti and meatballs! GIANT PORTION and i thought my 13 year was going to die of happiness. And then for the picky toddler that doesn't touch her food: chicken tenders with fries, she.ate.every.last.bite... finally, I ordered the Pernil. I ate every morsel. There was no food left and we are all in food comas now. Best part about it: all that food was $65 dollars. People of middleburgh, please go here. This is a place that has to stay around for...
