Meatballs burnt to a crisp (See attached pictures). Terrible quality. I have never in my lifetime had this bad of quality of food at a restaurant. Wouldn't even feed it to my dogs. I will never be returning again. First and last time.
I have worked in the restaurant industry for years now, managed kitchens and worked in over 25 local kitchens so as a result I never submit 1 star reviews for restaurants because there's usually always something good to say with the bad and also because I'm not a negative person, I usually always try to find something good to say. But there truly isn't anything good I could say when it comes to the food which is what matters most after all, as it is a restaurant.
I felt the need to share this review to help others understand the inconsistency of this place before spending money on a large order and being disappointed, I am lucky I only wasted $16. I would have rather eaten at ANY fast food place than here. It was truly a disgusting experience and I have never posted this negative of a review but it's truly that bad.
See attached picture of the sub wrapper that says "Delicious Sub" - there is NOTHING delicious about it. I ordered 2 meatball parm subs and when I arrived to pick up my order, I overheard the communication in the kitchen with an employee stating they forgot about them in the oven yet they still served them. It was 9:40pm and they turned off all the lights and I heard them tell a customer who called they were closed even though they weren't supposed to close until 10pm since it was a Friday night. So when I overheard they forgot to take the subs out I didn't ask for new ones due to them closing and I also had no idea they would be as bad quality as they were. The meatballs were oddly misshapen (does anyone there know how to roll a meatball?), had no flavor and were burnt to a crisp (see pictures attached). The bread was low quality and burnt. The sauce was highly acidic and overly tomato-based, tasted worse than opening a can of low quality cheap spaghetti sauce and pouring it on the sub. I had to throw out all the meatballs and most of both of the entire subs. Subway was closed or else I would have gotten meatball subs there which taste incredibly amazing compared to this. This sub is something I wouldn't even feed to my dogs. 75% went in the garbage and I RARELY waste food but I just had no choice this time. It...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Cusato's, and let me tell you, it was an experience that left me utterly speechless. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that instantly made me feel like part of their family.
Now, let's get down to the real star of the show – their New York-style pizza. Oh my, where do I even begin? I opted for the large Chicken Parm pizza, and it was a gastronomic masterpiece. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside, while maintaining a delightful chewiness on the inside. The sauce was tangy and full of flavor, and the cheese? Oh, the cheese! It was generously layered and melted to perfection, creating a gooey, melty goodness that had me swooning with each bite. And let's not forget about the succulent chunks of chicken, perfectly seasoned and tender, adding an extra layer of savory bliss to this culinary delight.
But it doesn't stop there. Cusato's knows how to create an atmosphere that enhances your dining experience. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with plenty of seating options to accommodate both intimate gatherings and larger groups. The staff's attentiveness and genuine care for their customers are unparalleled, making you feel like an honored guest in their own home.
To top it all off, the presence of large TVs strategically placed around the pizzeria ensures that you won't miss a single moment of your favorite game or show while savoring each mouthwatering slice.
In conclusion, if you find yourself in Ballston Spa, Cusato's is an absolute must-visit destination for pizza aficionados and food lovers alike. The combination of their warm hospitality, outstanding New York-style pizza, and an inviting atmosphere creates an experience that will leave you craving for more. Trust me, once you've experienced Cusato's, you'll never settle for anything less than...
Read moreHands down the worst customer experience of my life. Not only did the business "misplace" or mixup" my order but I waited over an hour and a half for a delivery that never came. Once I called and they realized what happened I will say they made up a pizza fast and delivered it quickly. That would have been the end of it if the margherita pizza I ordered is what I received but it had no fresh basil and was just a plain pizza. When I called the business back to let them know the mistake, the young lady on the phone was very helpful and asked her boss for me if I could have a refund (all of $25). I was only offered some fresh basil on the side...then I hear him yelling in the background about how they don't give out refunds so I told her thank you and to let her boss know that this will be the last time we ever order from there again. I then received a call from the business OWNER himself for him to admit to me about how he realizes they messed up and thought I was one of their regulars and that yes, it was probably a little overcooked, so I chimed in to ask why he was calling and asked if I would be given a refund considering they messed up everything and he rudely kept talking over me, started getting loud with me and told me that I wanted free food when I explained to him that this is a horrible way to do business and if $25 if really worth it then that's fine. He proceeded to talk over me, I mentioned how rude that is and then I was called rude....it felt like I was in high school again. The man hung up on me and didn't offer any type of reimbursement other than credit for another pizza that may or may not be what I'd order,...
