Meat & Company - BBQ — Restaurant in Town of Niskayuna

Mind blowing! I don't usually leave reviews, so when I do it means that that food was literally fantastic. First time at Meat & Co.; the quality and flavor of everything was absolutely amazing! I love a robust smoke flavor on my BBQ, and they do not disappoint! I got the brisket and cheese sandwich, the meat was perfect, roll was so soft, and the grilled peppers/onions and cheese sauce was perfect. Speaking of the cheese sauce, OMG, addicted! It's the same sauce that they use on their mac and cheese. So of course after eating my sandwich for dinner I had to get some stuff to go (because my sandwich and those delicious homemade chips were filling). It's now the next day I've warmed up my mac and cheese, it is the BEST mac and cheese I have ever had, even though it's the next day! I'm definitely going to have to go back and try it fresh because it'll probably be life-changing. I also took some smoked wings to go, again absolute perfection, I didn't even get any sauce because I like mine au naturale, and the little grill marks absolutely adorable. Last, I got the potato salad to go too, all I can say is thank you for not putting weird stuff in your potato salad! Too many people do that and it's disappointing. This is your normal picnic potato salad with mayo, I believe a little hint of vinegar just enough to give it a little kick, eggs, celery, and I think some onions; the potatoes were cooked perfect, not too hard, not too soft. I can't wait to go back and try some other things, I went with a friend but next time I'm going to drag my husband along because he's going to love it too, we're probably going to have to take out a loan because we're gonna want to buy everything on the menu! My wife and I were recommended by a mutual friend to try this place out. We did tonight, a Friday night around 6:00pm and wow! We walk in and the place is a lil Smokey, but that good BBQ kinda Smokey , smells fantastic, it’s BUSY, employees are HUSTLING to take orders and make orders. We wait in line, not too long, and place our orders, wife got hot ham and cheese Sando and a side of coleslaw, the sandwich was good, was expecting more of a deli style ham slice for some reason, idk haha, besides that, the ham was a very good Smokey off the bone kinda ham taste to it, the cheese was melted to perfection, and the bread was soft yet sturdy. Also was not expecting chips!, overall 5/5 on the sandwich, the coleslaw the wife said it was a little too spicy for her, I don’t eat coleslaw so I’m taking her word on it. I ordered the pulled pork sando on martins bun, with chips. Presentation was very good, the pork was delicious and tender, the BBQ sauce, excellent, I was highly impressed with this meal, I also ordered a side of Mac n cheese, was pleasantly surprised with how home made and delicious it was, the taste of the real cheese used and the sprinkle of small breadcrumbs on top, fantastic. Seems to me most places prices do not reflect the quality of the food and service, however these guys do, I’ll say it again, the price reflects the quality of the food and service here, very well balanced portions of food for the price being paid. 5/5 stars across all fronts! I had seen the restaurant advertised on a local news station when one of the new anchors went there and they did a live interview and showed some of the food they serve. A friend's son went there and like the food. The restaurant is located in a strip mall next to a market 32 so it is kind of a place you would not be there. As soon as you open the door you get the great bbq smell and it sure is good. We were greeted at the counter were we had placed our order. We had a few questions as to what options were available to you and our question was answered. We ordered a 3 meat combo, our choice was brisket, pulled pork and ribs, 2 sides were macaroni and cheese and the pit beans. Also ordered the pulled chicken sandwich. Monday through Friday they have different sandwich options to choose from. There was seating when we arrived but there is not a lot of seats, most of the orders we had seen were take out. The macaroni and cheese is made to order and was excellent, the pit beans had burnt ends in them and at first had a little kick to them but we're fine after that. The platter came out in a well organized half tin pan with a cover. Easy to take any left overs home. The ribs were very good and not loaded with bbq sauce at all. The brisket was not fatty and was juicy, the pulled pork was also very good. Place was very clean. Like any bbq, you will need napkins, especially with ribs.
