Group of 10 - I fully understand that it's going to be a different experience than dining with 2-4 people. But it isn't going to be different food. The food is very generic. Everything was frozen restaurant supply fried or reheated and then served ice cold. Waitress tried but was she was overwhelmed -I was hoping that her unkept crazy hair stayed on her head and not in our food. Pretzel stix and corn bites were fine. Onion soup was blah nobody ate it. The food was all cold with half frozen buns on burgers and chicken. I couldn't eat my food at all. I get the recycling thing - it lends a funky vibe - but I really prefer to eat off of unchipped plates that are not older than I am! (50) There is an opportunity in this space and in this community if they give them someplace to go that's halfway decent. Our bill w tip was about $400 and the most we ate was pretzel sticks and fried corn nuggets. My niece left feeling ill and my brother has been sick for 2 days. The biggest disappointment was that this was our "best" option in pub dining in the area. Nobody likes to write a negative review for a new business- however they cannot succeed without providing patrons something...
Read moreGirlfriend and I arrived and were seated pretty quickly. The staff was really friendly, the restaurant was clean.
We ordered the Broken Inn Burger with an egg and a grilled chicken salad. Something came up so we asked to have our food boxed up to go before it came to the table.
The salad was average, but the burger was cold by the time I got in my car in front of restaurant. But at the heart of this review, dear reader, is an egg.
When we got in the car, instead of a fried or sunny side up egg, I found a peeled hard boiled egg in my take out box.
I couldn’t go back, and I do believe they would fix the order if I had asked. But I can’t stop thinking about the egg. Either the cook honestly thought I wanted a hard boiled egg with my burger, or didn’t care and whipped a hard boiled egg in the box.
I guess I got what I ordered, but I really didn’t think I’d have to specify. Unlikely...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing atmosphere, it's nice to finally find a place with the genuine charm and character that other taverns try to emulate.
They are cash only, so bring money or use their ATM. They end up donating the extra 3% that would normally be given to the CC companies to local charities.
The menu has a good selection of standard pub fare, with amusing descriptions and anecdotes. We got the Reuben, French Dip, and had to try their hamburger. The portion sizes are large, well worth the price. Chips are great and the sweet potato ones even moreso.
We tried to fit a dessert in as well, and the massive cookie sandwhich is very much Massive! Would be a challenge to eat one on your own even if that was the only thing you ordered. Definitely enough of a dessert to split between four people.
It was only our first visit, but we'll definitely be making this one of our...
