Very friendly staff. It was rather busy when we went in, but our server was attentive and kind.
We ordered an antipasta salad to share. It was huge and filling. Could have used a bit more dressing, but it worked out. It was enough salad for the three of us to enjoy.
My mom and I ordered wings. She ordered medium spice and I ordered hot. The wings were meaty and cooked well. Could have used a bit more sauce on the medium wings as they were a little dry, but the flavor was nice and the chicken was moist. The hot wings weren't hot at first, but the spice level built the more you ate.
My father ordered a small pizza with fresh mushrooms, sausage, and meatballs. The crust was cooked well and it looked delicious. He loved it. It was a little wet underneath, but we assumed it was from the fresh mushrooms as they tend to give off a lot of liquid.
We took the leftover pizza and wings to go and had no room for anything else!
We'd definitely eat here again. Lovely little spot in a lovely...
Read moreAfter a few years, We returned to Village Cafe & Pizzeria now “Jays”. I was leery because of the new ownership since my last visit, because we had become fond of this place since eating here in the mid 90s. This cafe unlike the many pretenders that have come and gone in this town, has always had good pizza, salads and hamburgers and far more - in fact I believe the best pizza in the region can be had here and that remains to be true. Although slices are no longer available, a personal 12” pie is and I was not disappointed. I ordered mine with ham and it was delicious! My wife ordered a Mediterranean salad with generous portions of grilled chicken that was unbelievably large but more important, amazing! We both left with a huge amount leftover and we were provided with containers to bring home enough for a second meal at home! Don’t hesitate to go directly here to eat and in doubt where to go as this is the only place in the village...
Read moreI came here after a nice day at the beach with my nephews, the setup was awkward and the staff were immediately rude when we tried to order but I let that go as they seemed kind of busy. However, after a few minutes I tried to order a beer. I was asked for id and didn't have it, I made it clear that this was perfectly fine and I was happy with soda even though I'm clearly in my 30s..the waitress must have had something severely wrong with her brain cause she went into the back and ranted and swore loudly within earshot of children about me not having an id..it felt awkward and hostile and is completely unacceptable in front of children. The pizza took over an hour and was burnt and had human hairs in it and was ridiculously expensive. I know Northville has a reputation for being hostile towards anyone who isn't from there but I never believed it until now. Disgusting and...
