The Local Five and Dine — Restaurant in Town of Northampton

Decided to give this place a try instead of Lanzi's or Timeless and I regret it.

Short staffed they said so service was really slow, the waitress was nice but slow so maybe serving isn't the right field for her since she dropped someone's salad and she dropped my cake which was in a closed container.

Food was eh. Chicken teriyaki with rice and veggies is what I had and the chicken was chewy, rice didn't seem steamed as said on the menu. Husband has filet mignon and he said it was alright.

Tables are a little on the small side. Not a whole lot of seating. Really expensive. For 2 people, 2 dinners, 2 appetizers and 4 sodas (one of which my husband didn't even ask for) it was $116 Dollars and they charge you $5 dollars to use a debit card... Definitely won't be dining...

Have eaten multiple times and always awesome. Menu is diverse with specials offered. The pork belly scallop app is wonderful and great to share. The duck breast with maple sweet potato was cooked perfectly. We each had a cocktail with meal a Manhattan and a Gin n tonic, both came served in proper glassware and were very yummy. Our dessert, recommended by our server Maris, was over the top excellent! The affogata - esspresso, disorinno poured over vanilla bean ice cream table side - can be shared and is fine way to finish meal. We’ve been here twice, our first experience was mediocre so we wanted to give it another chance. The actual dining room is quite small, and although we had called ahead- we still waited quite some time for a table even though the dining area seemed not so busy. We waited even longer for the food. Over an hour. The prices are insane ( not all prices ore shown in the menu ) for example we paid 20 dollars for two scallops served over greens!
