My wife and I tried it out for the first time yesterday. There was no way of knowing how to order. The kids behind the food prep area saw us, but no one offered to assist us. We went to the register and the young lady there said she just takes the money. We asked how to order and she beguiledy told us to start at the beginning and work our way down. We stood in front of the young man who was in charge of starting the initial order. It was as if we were invisible. Finally we asked if we ordered from him. He finally looked up and took our order. There was no communication between the workers. There was no welcome or Thank You. As we were waiting for our order to be prepared, the manager was explaining the process of ordering to the folks behind us. He mentioned about free ice cream at the condiment bar. For almost $40.00 for 2 meals each consisting a half of a chicken breast and a scant 1/2 cup each of BBQ beans and Mac & Cheese, I thought ice cream was a little something to look forward to. After eating our meal and now ready for ice cream, we found the smallest cones to put it in. It was ice milk that was full of ice crystals that came out very runny. With all that being said, and from what has previously been said, I think the management should do a re-training. As a manager myself it is important to make the customer feel valued. Greeting the customer and readily explaining the process of ordering would be a good start. Friendly communication between the workers and showing motivation and dedication to the company and what you do is paramount. If the customer does not feel comfortable with the service, repeat business most likely will be sketchy at best. If you are going to serve ice cream, make sure it is presentable. Maybe small paper bowls and some toppings. We will be back. I am just hoping our next visit will see improvement. I believe in the Norwich community and want to see it grow. The food here is very good. Just don't go...
Read moreHonest Review Decided to skip the long line and order at the bar. Probably should have just waited in line. Ordered our food and waited over an hour to get it also had multiple things wrong with our order. The workers were scrambling having no idea what was happening. Someone who looks like the owner/manager was standing there telling workers what to do, didn't seem to be helping much. When we did get the food, it tasted great! The only down side is small portions. They were running out of multiple types of meats (we got there before 5) and it felt as though they were splitting portions so they could feed more people. They are not set up for online orders/doordash so if you order online you'll be waiting 2 hours for your food because the doordash order does not go to the restaurant, the doordash guy has to order for you then wait for your food. On the bright side, they have ice cream, you can serve yourself (when the cones are filled). Shoutout to Bear (that's what they called him). He's an absolute beast- basically keeping the place running. Best attitude and handles pressure very well. I don't know how much they pay him but he deserves more. I wouldn't completely say no to this restaurant, but they for sure were not ready to open. Will be returning in 2 months to see if there are any...
Read moreI have just got to say that not only do I absolutely love the food that comes out of this restaurant, but the staff and manager are an A+! My family and I have enjoyed the food for years (to include Our collection of the infamous “yellow cups“ and the humor that has come across them over the years…). I am disabled, and the staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. The manager, Bear, could not have been more accommodating, pleasant, professional, and the only time I had an issue went above and beyond effort! I want to say thank you to each and every one of you. Especially, You , Bear, for being so forthright as to come out and see me when I arrived and the gentleman that quickly responded for me, told you I was there right away and went so far as to assist me with opening the door for me and carrying the food to my vehicle without even my asking. People are quick to complain. They’re not as quick to compliment and that’s a shame. I’m genuine with my words and just want to say thank you in capital letters. There needs to be more like you all in the professional world-it also makes it recognized as a personal world. Many thanks. See you...
