We went to the restaurant for my daughterâs bday, which she requested. The 6 of us ordered Diet Coke and ice tea. The meal took 1 hour and 35 minutes to be delivered, and we were never told that âthe kitchen is backed upâ. We would have gone elsewhere. After 40 minutes the waitress asked âwould you like a refill? And brought them out. After another 40 minutes, she offered us another refill and said âthe food will be up shortlyâ. Finally another guy brought out our 2 spaghetti dinners. I ordered meat sauce. I asked him âwhich one is the meat sauce?â He said âsorry I donât knowâ, left the plates and walked away. I ordered a meatball which was covered in sauce. One bite revealed the entire outside was black. I showed it to my waitress and she offered to remake it. I said no, as we had already been at the restaurant for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Then the bill came. She charged us $3/soda and ice tea. $12 x 6 people was $72 for soda and ice tea. Waitress never took the meatball off the receipt when I showed it to her, and I had left the remainder uneaten on the plate. The spaghetti was absolutely terrible (sauce was out of a cheap jar), didnât get what I ordered, and meatball looked like a round hockey puck on the outside. I called twice to speak with the manager, but he/she wasnât available. If you want to have a cocktail on the lake, fine. But 100% stay away from the food. I will never return to the Hide Away restaurant. Food is...
Read moreWas not too pleased with the service. We stopped in off the lake since they had a pier we could pull up to was looking to order some pizza. We thought it would be a good place there was a ton of people outside. Upon arrival everything was smooth nice that they had boat parking slips but the service was not so great. First off we ordered 3 pizzas and an order of fried mac and cheese bites. We waited an hour and 45 minutes for our pizza which cost $15 a piece and were about the size of a frozen pizza not to mention some of the worst pizza I've ever had. They messed up our pizza after we waited an hour and 45 minutes then asked us to pay half price for the pizza they messed up. Obviously that wasn't happening. After finally getting our pizzas and the mac & cheese bites we returned to the boat to eat boy was that a mistake if I would have tasted the food prior to leaving the restaurant I never would have paid for it. Other people have said that it is a great place to grab a bite to eat I don't know if it was just a fluke where our food was messed up because of how busy they were along with the poor service we received but there were eight adults and four children between the two boats we had and none of us will...
Read moreDisappointed again. Every time we come here we receive terrible service. But itâs the only place on the lake that serves breakfast so after a year or two of staying away from the last disaster, we tried again. We came early and were only the 2nd table. We waited over 10 minutes for the server to even come over by us despite being right there and looking right at us several times. We finally had to call her over. I ordered an omelette and my husband ordered eggs and bacon. It should only have taken 10-15 minutes tops to make our very simple order. We asked our sever several times what was going on. Two other tables who arrived after us were served their breakfast before us. Finally, after an hour of waiting, I went in and asked to talk to the manager. First, the chef was arguing that it had only been 40 minutes (not true), not an hour, which is still a ridiculous amount of time for eggs. Then, when I pointed out two other tables had received their food before us, the manager told me that they were probably regulars and they serve regulars first. Excuse me?? All told, we were there over an hour and a half, for average food at best, despite having been the second ones there....
