I agree with the other reviewer. Terrible service. Here is my review from Yelp.
"My husband and I came here for dinner in the summer and had a very bad experience specifically related to service and food. Our waiter ignored us after seating and after ordering wine we were left waiting for about 20 minutes. We finally had to flag down another waiter to get our wine delivered. No apology was made from our waiter. Later, after emailing the manager we were given an gift certificate for a repeat visit. Fast forward, three months later and we visited again. My husband and I were convinced that our last visit was a fluke. It couldn't happen again.....Well, we were wrong. Our waitress was very cold and seemed disinterested in us. It seemed as though she was deliberately avoiding us. She walked past our table numerous times. It took 20 minutes to even put our order in and that is only because my husband flagged her down. She said about 20 words to us the whole night. Never asked us how our food was. Our water glasses were always empty. We finished an entire bottle of wine before our food came out. We are not picky people. We order off the menu and don't as for substitutions. After speaking to the manager the response was "well, it's a saturday night and we are busy." Saturday nights should be when restaurants bring their "A" game and this was, at best, a "D". In short, if you want to wait over an hour for good food and crappy service this is your place. If you want nice friendly waiters who make you feel good about your dining experience and deliver your food within a reasonable amount of time- find another...
Read moreI was given a gift certificate to Del' Arte Restaurant in Orangeburg and after 1 visit, plan to become a regular. Our party of 7 was seated promptly at 6 with Saturday night reservations. The large open dining room was full and despite the number of diners, including children, the room was comfortable and there was no problem hearing anyone in our party qnd without strain. Service was not rushed and food delivery well paced. We ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees and the food was fresh and portions generous. One valid complaint from one in our party was that an appetizer that promised an olive medley provided a truly tiny portion. Two diners ordered Zuppa di Pesce and they were thrilled with the large portions of well cooked seafood. My veal was tender and delicious. One of our diners ordered a pasta with walnuts and felt that it was underseasoned, tasted of too much butter and not enough walnut. Though the dish was not "bad" but not enjoyable to her palate, the waitress graciously and without any argument replaced the dish. Overall. a lovely place, very good service and a deft hand in the kitchen will have us returning anytime we're yearning for good Italian fare...
Read moreWe had the worst male waiter, who was non-attentive, unfriendly and rude. He never introduced himself, never smiled, mumbled incoherently, and seemed to forget about us. Every other staff member was noticbly fantastic to their customers. Several greeted us on the way in and gave us parting smiles and energetic well-wishes for a good night on the way out. Our busboy was so very friendly and responsive. It's not that this waiter wasn't capable of professionalism as my date and I witnessed him as a totally different person with the customers right next to us. He introduced himself, suddenly got the power of speech and was extremely charming and responsive. So much so, at first we didn't think he was our waiter! It was only when we witnessed him moving directly from their table to ours that, to our astonishment, we realized he was the same mumbling unfriendly waiter we were experiencing! We never even received a goodbye. He took drink and food orders, dropped them off, and dropped off a check. He ruined our dining experience and the only reason I gave 2 stars was because the food was very...
