deliciousssssss sushi and beautiful ambience! i popped in for spur of the moment takeout yesterday and they were kind enough to give me the lunch special 5 minutes late 🥰 it was SO FRESH and clearly handmade. everything was delicious and just, i dont know how to describe it, the rice was like a little loose on the outside? you could tell it was JUST made that minute, just for me and it’s probably the best sushi I’ve had in a long time (had sushi from 4-5 different places in the last month). I've had a few different experiences here, none of which are consistent. Originally introduced by a friend who said it "was the best sushi in the area" I was impressed with the quality and unique choices on the menu.

After multiple trips dining in and taking out, my initial positive impression changed. The quality of the food diminished, the menu seemed more typical and limited and the service suffered.

A recent take out trip left me with the impression that a once solid restaurant is in the throws of losing its grip. It felt like a place on the verge of closing the doors.

I sincerely hope that isn't the outcome. But it seemed like it...

We've lived in Piermont for many years, so we are used to dining at superior restaurants. Osaka Sushi is under new management (for 3 or 4 months now) and it has in our opinion the best sushi within 10 miles. They also have Thai and Chinese food on the menu. The food is absolutely delicious and creatively prepared by Sky, the chef and part owner. His other half is the host Jenny - who is an absolute delight. Do NOT miss the Dinosaur Egg (raw lobster salad wrapped in avocado) or the Spiny Tuna Roll or the Shashimi Nest or....I could go on. Try it,...
