We came here for a late dinner (9pm) on a Friday and we were seated immediately. The table sat at was just cleaned. It was incredibly loud from the bar area, my husband put pieces of napkins in his ears to block out some of the sound. There was some belligerent patrons in the bar but it almost echoed into the dining area. I asked for any recommendations on the specials and the waitress shrugged her shoulders at me. I ended up ordering the grilled chicken over penne (chicken supreme) and my husband ordered the Buffalo dip. We ordered the nachos with queso for an appetizer. We received our drinks in about 15 minutes. We waited about 30 min for the nachos to arrive. The tortilla chips for the nachos were freshly fried. On top there was melted white velveeta that was room temperature with sour tomato pieces and pickled jalapeños. The tortilla chips that weren’t touching the tomatoes or jalapeños were edible at best. The other chips tasted like the back of your throat after vomiting. They were $7. My husband went to ask for silverware and there was no waitress to be found. We received our entrees 15 min later. My husband her for some silverware and she brought it over shortly afterwards. My husbands Buffalo dip with fries looked and tasted delicious. My grilled chicken with penne was set down with a nice looking side salad. The chicken dish looked disgusting. It was a yellow colored pile with flecks of carrots and slimy onions on top. The chicken (which looked boiled) was buried under the slop. My husband tried it first and had to spit it out. I tasted a small amount of the sauce and it tasted like it could’ve given me pink eye. I ate my salad. The waitress came by about 15 minutes later to check on us. She was very kind and asked if I liked my dish and I said no. She offered to take it off of the bill or she could get me something else instead. I opted for the beef on weck. She brought it out within 10 minutes. The beef was cold but had good flavor to it. The Kimmelweck roll had a lot of salt on top (easy fix though). The French fries tasted delicious! We got charged $7 for the nachos, $18 for the buffalo dip, and $18 (cost of chicken supreme) for the beef on weck (which is normally $17). The waitress gave us to go boxes and left the check, I immediately put my card in with the check. We left at about 10:30 by the time my husband had to go and find the waitress to cash out. By the time we left our stomachs and heads were hurting between the noise and sour food. Very...
Read moreBuffalo's Best Grill in Orchard Park, NY, offers a casual dining atmosphere praised for its friendly staff, quality food, and a wide selection of craft beers and cocktails. The establishment is celebrated for its home-cooking style comfort food, with a menu that boasts favorites like The Prime Rib Sandwich, House Smoked Beef Brisket, and a unique take on Pizza Logs. The venue features 7 flat-screen TVs and hosts special events, making it a perfect spot for relaxing meals or gathering for drinks.
However, based on your personal experience, while the service was adequate, the overall dining experience didn't stand out as exceptional. The prime rib, a highlight for many visitors, was found to be overly fatty by your family, contributing to an overall perception of the food being average for bar fare but not compelling enough to warrant a special trip. Despite the large space being seen as an advantage for pre-game gatherings for Bills games and concerts at the stadium, the combination of the drive and the overall dining experience doesn't encourage a return visit on your part.
This reflects a broader spectrum of experiences at Buffalo's Best Grill, where, alongside many positive reviews, there are instances of customers having expectations that weren't fully met. As with any restaurant, experiences can vary, and what might be a draw for one visitor—such as the ambiance and suitability for large events—may not compensate for perceived shortcomings in food quality and overall value...
Read moreWent there for dinner with my girlfriend after work, before an oil change appointment. We received a warm greeting from the host, but opted to sit at the bar. The bartender was awesome! Great personality, very funny, and always attentive. Made some great suggestions once we narrowed down the menu to a couple of things we were interested in. She had a southwestern chicken salad (a special, I think), and I had wings, because it was wing night. Not the cheapest deal on wings, but they were big, and done just right, with a crispy skin, but not dried out. I got the hot honey sesame wings, and they were awesome. I'm usually a medium kind of guy, but sometimes go for teriyaki or honey medium (honey butter BBQ at Bar Bill are my favorite), so the honey sesame sounded great, as did the maple bacon. I mentioned that and the hot honey sesame to the bartender and his response was "Hot honey sesame. Don't think, just do," and boy was he right. They're definitely in my top 5 now. They were crispy, and tender, but if I had to have one complaint, it was that there was a LOT of sauce on the plate, which can make them get a little soggy, but it's great for dipping other food in. My girlfriend kept dipping her chicken into the extra sauce. The beer selection is also great, and, again, the service at the bar could not be better. We're not in the area all that often, but we'll definitely...
