As much as I love promoting a small business, unfortunately, even despite its Instagram fame, I cannot warrant another visit to the tasty table.
My girlfriends and I scheduled a get together at the tasty table after seeing many of the beautiful and “tasty” pictures as well as reading about it in Westchester Magazine. Prior to our “date,” I took my husband with me for brunch. Both the coffees that we ordered were delicious however, the meals were not. He ordered the eggs Benedict and I ordered the steak and eggs. He said there was nothing great about his eggs, but my steak was not edible. They had marinated it in some kind of herb/spice mixture that really did not go well with the meal. I ate two bites and that was it. The potatoes and eggs were fine.
Despite a less than stellar start, a couple of days later, I met up with some girlfriends at the Tasty Table. This time around, I had the avocado toast which was not memorable nor tasty at all. Although the presentation was beautiful. Worst of all, however, the coffee was terrible. The same coffee that my husband and I loved just a few days prior was made by a different server (apparently) and tasted like milk. I ordered a second coffee (in hopes that the first was a fluke) and it also didn’t taste good as well as being cold. Speaking of things being cold, one of my girlfriends was served cold eggs which she had to send back to get reheated. I was not brave enough to reheat my coffee.
This business has a lot of potential however they need to improve the consistency of their meals. Finally, service both days, although friendly was scarce. We were not offered water. We were not asked if we would like anything else. We had to wave down staff. We are only asked if everything was OK when it looks like we were practically done with our meals and I’m guessing they would like to clear the table.
If you are here for an Instagram picture, this is absolutely the place. The food is plated beautifully. If you are here for a good meal, go...
Read moreI recently visited The Tasty Table with my daughter and friends, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! The food was beyond delicious, leaving all of us craving for more. We tried a variety of dishes, including pancakes, scones, biscuits with cinnamon butter, and bacon. Each bite was pure bliss! Personally, I ordered the Sharshuka, and it was out of this world delicious. The combination of flavors was simply perfect.
But the culinary adventure didn't stop there. We also had the pleasure of trying the coffee flights, which I highly recommend. From the sugar cookie to cinnamon roll, mocha, and white chocolate, each flavor was expertly crafted and left us wanting to try them all over again. And let me not forget to mention the Mimosa flight, which was absolutely beautiful. My personal favorite was the cotton candy with glitter - it was like sipping on a magical drink!
As if the incredible food and drinks weren't enough, the service at The Tasty Table was exceptional. The hostess was incredibly sweet and even treated us to cinnamon biscotti while we waited for our meals. The entire staff had a smile on their faces and made us feel truly welcomed. It's clear that this place values its customers and goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience.
The ambiance at The Tasty Table is also worth mentioning. The décor is pleasantly inviting, creating a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Whether you're dining with friends, family, or even on your own, you'll feel right at home in this lovely establishment.
All in all, I cannot recommend The Tasty Table enough. If you're a brunch lover like me, it's a must-visit place. The menu is extensive, and my friends and I have already made a plan to try everything. So, put The Tasty Table on your must-try brunch list and get ready to indulge in a delightful culinary experience. Trust me, you won't be...
Read moreIt is not at all surprising that this is your response. It seems to be a pattern of behavior, considering there are other reviews about the owner's attitude or treatment towards customers. The staff seemed lovely; it's a shame the owner continues to be defensive and attack customers who are leaving their honest feedback, if they had anything less than stellar to say. The entire approach was bad, which seems to be a normal reaction from you.
I wish you the best of luck and hope that you can see there is a better way to treat people. I have never been treated like this before at a restaurant!!!
My wife has been dying to go try their brunch. After waiting to be seated outside and given a table by the staff, the owner comes outside as we are getting ready to be given menus to tell us she promised the table to someone who was here, isn't currently, but told us we can't have the table and we shouldn't have sat here. When I expressed that it was her staff who seated us she told us shes sorry but the table had to go to someone else (When they came back, eventually) but we could have a table inside in the corner. When I told her that this was bad customer service and we wouldn't be back she screamed down the street how I didn't read (Even though her staff sat me, it was somehow still mine and my wifes fault that we were there)
I have managed restaurants for 10 years prior to this, and there is a golden rule that if your staff seats someone thats their table, unless there is an accommodation such as a disability that couldn't be made elsewhere.
The place was packed, I am sure the food was good the menu was very nice. To treat a new customer like this they must have more business then they know...
