Primavera Italian Specialities — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

Place is absolute trash. Called 24 hours before my daughter’s second birthday party to postpone my catering order because my family came down with Covid. Told me the hero was already sliced the night before (disgusting) and I couldn’t switch it to the following weekend. When I told them me and my two year old were sick with Covid the guy on the phone turns around and says “yeah so is the rest of Nassau County.” THEN, when I arrive to pick it up (while fighting Covid) the owner’s son dumps 7 feet of hero (on two separate boards) and a box with 7lbs of salads on the counter for myself, who is a petite 5ft girl, to carry out alone. This is my first and obviously last time dealing with this place. Do yourself a favor and cater with a classy place like Salpinos or Ivarone who employ gentlemen who treat their customers...

Ignore the poor reviews of people who had one bad experience and cry like babies.

Sadly when Cirello's closed last year, we were desperate to find a local replacement. We tried a few, including Ivaronne and happily discovered Primavera.

The place is clean. The food is always fresh. And the prices reasonable. $3.99 for Bell and Evan's breasts, plus they will cut/pound on request? Sold!

The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

I'll knock two things: they're heavy with the garlic (and I love garlic). But their homemade marinara sauce and red peppers? I wish they would cut back a bit.

I'm not a fan of where ever they get their Italian bread. The big round loaves (semolina?) are good in a pinch. Anything else? Pass.

I go out of my way (and pass another Italian specialty store) to come to Primavera - I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I've purchased all kinds of food - sandwiches, cold cuts, italian bread, chicken, meat, etc. and it's been great every time. All of the guys have helped me at one point or another during my many visits and I don't have a negative thing to say about them - always friendly and professional.
