Calvert Manor Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

I’ve tried this place out a few times, and found myself less than impressed. Their bagels are skinny, incorrectly cooked, and simply off-putting. Seasonings are very inconsistent, thus quality is dependent on what day you happen to go. Out of 10 orders, they forgot to put ketchup on my sandwich at least 8 of the times. How do you forget something so simple? The answer is because the counter employees are always rushing the customer to place their order. I get it, you have a really bad store layout and can barely fit more than 5 people on your line to order; However, can you please take the time to LISTEN to the customer and maybe just write down the customizations if you can’t remember? On several occasions, the counter employees have shown they are simply rude people. Sarcasm, Eye rolling, and dull monotone assembly-line styled responses must be apart of their employee training. It’s literally every time at this point. Not returning. Save your money and go to any of the other 9 bagel stores within a 2 mile radius that will gladly serve you a great New York bagel and not make you feel...

We frequently visit this bakery and they have the worst customer service. I have never walked into an establishment where every person looks miserable to have to be there, after purchasing two raisin muffins my daughter and I felt like they tasted like chewing aspirins. when I called to complain about it they agreed that there was an aftertaste to the muffins but when I tried to go back to the store they gave me an attitude practically threw my money back to me and then the baker came out to reprimand me why there was such an aftertaste. I have never in my life ate a muffin that tasted so horrible And it was three people who had the same reaction therefore there was clearly a mistake in the batch not saying anything wrong with the baker but he took it away to personal. The Baker proceeded to go into the back of the store and continue to talk and complain about me while I’m watching him and I’m still In the store not even wearing his mask over food. The line as quite long but I didnt mind waiting because I was waiting for a ride. I also figured if this many people are waiting it must be good. The line moved fairly quickly but ordering and paying at the front was quite chaotic. I ordered a Chicken ranch sandwich on a roll, a side of potato salad(that comes with the sandwhich) a blueberry muffin and Bottled Soda. I decided to break into my sandwhich while waiting for my ride. There was two pieces of grilled chicken on the sandwich, was so dry and too tough I couodnt even chew it.. It was like they gave me a day old reheated chicken, parts were so rubbery I had to remove it from the sandwhich. Which is really sad cuz otherwise it wouldve been a perfect sandwhich. And being charged $1 more than it was priced at the menu def. was not worth it.. I wiuld like to go back again maybe just dont have the grilled chicken next time cuz that really disappointed me..
